3-Day Intensive Salsa Teacher Training Course 21st - 23rd February 2014
... This is the first and original UKA approved course with 100% pass rate so far!!!
The course will prepare you in two areas:
1. Guidance towards your UKA exam; 2. Becoming a good teacher in both technique and presentation.
No previous teaching experience is necessary to join the course.
The course is run by teachers with over 12 years experience in this field. This course will be both practical and theory based and will run for 15 hours over 3 days.
During this training course you will learn:
• Teaching techniques • Psychology • Class Management • Class presentation • Musical Analysis • Advertising and Marketing • The history of Salsa dance and music • The differences between the Salsa styles • The UKA Code of Practice • The Child Protection Act
To receive a UKA certificate, you will have to pass a 2½ hour exam after the completion of your course.
Price of the course: £250 per person or £400 per couple

It's almost here! Christmas Party with guest teacher Yanet Fuentes! Come and experience in person one of the top Cuban Salsa instructors in the world-Yanet Fuentes is a passionate dancer with bags full of experience in the International Dance scene.
Classes will run from 8.00pm as usual.... Dancing, shows and lots of festive cheer to follow from 10.00pm.

Salsa Musicality workshop with Dessy and Lee and Live percussion by Bill Bland!!!

... The workshop is a build up on all the musicality work we have done throughout the year. Suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced dancers, you will have the chance to learn how to dance more expressively to the music even if you know just a handful of moves.
The workshop will cover:
1st hour - Understanding the patterns of each instrument will allow you to hear it in the music and be able to recognise it in any Salsa song. We will all have a go at "Making Music". 2nd hour - We will explore the body and foot movements suitable for each instrument and practice applying it in the dance. 3rd hour - Each Salsa song is unique and we will look at the variety of Salsa music we hear regularly on the dance floor and how to dance to it.
You will receive a schedule of everything the workshop covers.
