Went yesterday before going to the cinema food was absolutely delicious nice glass of fizz to go with it all the staff were lovely. As we were last customers staff started cleaning the kitchen, fantastically clean and actually fascinating to watch Looking forward to going back.

We went for an impromptu Wednesday lunch out and were not disappointed. Good service, fabulous food and watching the starters chef doing his job was a lovely addition to the lunch. Mussels were delicious and the seafood mixed grill amazing. Looking forward to going back.

We has a platter of fresh tasty seafood served on ice. Had a lovely late lunch yesterday and enjoyed the food as well as the friendly atmosphere. It’s easy to forget that this is in the middle of a busy departments store! Definitely worth a visit.

Visit this place as often as I can. Not only to sit in but also buy fresh fish to take home. Never disappointed. My favourite is the sharing fruits de mer it is amazing. Just wish it was bigger as weekends can get busy so if you haven't booked you can't get in. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The best place to go for superb fish either fresh or cooked in Newcastle. I lived in Spain for a couple of years and was looking for a place which would offer delicious Mediterranean recipes or at least my favourite 'dorada fish' (sea bream). Dorada fish with oranges and super-king prawns pleasantly surprised me and formed a positive opinion about this establishment in my mind. I recommend this place.

P.S. The only remark - Interior design of the restaurant could be improved. Mirrors do not fit very well with the atmosphere of the place.

Super fresh food, seats you can watch the chefs at work, friendly service, decent wine list and the set menus are excellent value. Brilliant all round.

Our favourite place to eat in town. Everything is so fresh and the menu is always varied. We love using the fish counter as well, and can always rely on good advice and cooking tips !

Absolutely love this place, it never disappoints!! Fabulous fresh seafood washed down with a lovely glass of Tattinger. The service is always fantastic too.

Absolutely blown away. The Plateau Fruits De Mer - to share was amazing, I've never seen so much fresh seafood on a plate. We will be back, so much more on the menu we need to try.

We were the first customers during the grand opening on Saturday. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our stools at the end of the bar. Our drinks came promptly and our order was also taken swiftly. We were served the Med Fish Soup, Prawn Cocktail, Fries, Prosecco and Estrella.



The seafood was very fresh and the accompaniments were excellent. Both dishes were perhaps a little strong on the citrus and orange (perhaps overly critical) but otherwise very good. It was very pleasant overlooking the food prep area, seafood display cabinet and watching people mill around the new food court in the back drop.



I felt that the food preparation area would be better positioned straight in front of the customer rather than in the centre of the room away from the bar. I like to see the chef's process and feel that a trick has been missed - see Scotts / Sheeky oyster bars.



We had a great time, were very happy with our experience and the price of the meal was spot on. I can't think of a better place for a quick lunch or for seafood of this quality in Newcastle and we will certainly be back!
