The bank holiday weekend commences fingers crossed 🤞for sunny weather ☀️ and looking forward to seeing all your happy faces 😊 Fresh Plaice 🐠 arrived today and fresh Hake 🐟 arriving in the morning 😋

Saltwater Fish & Chips are always looking at innovative methods to try and reduce our impact on the planet. Some of our many methods are; - Passing our used oil onto companies who turn it from cooking oil into biofuel for cars - Only using cardboard boxes for our takeaway service. - Our latest addition to our ecological methods is the introduction of paper straws.
... These new straws will replace their plastic counterparts in order to try and cut down on plastic waste which takes hundreds of years to decompose. More importantly, by not using plastic straws we are helping reduce the chance that plastic waste ends up in the sea! Quite often Sea Turtles get plastic straws stuck up there nose after confusing it with food!
Here at Saltwater we not only take immense pride in our food but we are so very cautious of our mark that we leave on nature because after all, without it we wouldn’t be in business!

We were recommend to come here by a local. Lovely fish and chips. We had the ‘catch of the day ‘ - fresh Brixham plaice. Friendly and helpful staff. Table service. We were allowed to bring our dog inside as long as we had a table by the window.

Visited Torquay on Thursday for the first time and tried Saltwater. Lovely clean restaurant/take away & friendly staff. Your fish and chips are first class, very tasty and lovely light batter. Will definitely visit you again when down in Torquay.

The fish was just the way we like it....lovely light crispy batter. The chips were nice and hot and the mushy peas were really nice. Excellent value for money, we have been before and will definitely be going again, it is one of our favourites now!

I took a trip up to Torquay from Cornwall this week just to try Saltwater Fish & Chips,

They were better than I could ever imagine and I will be coming back soon!!

I hade fish and chips , big portion of fish and chips , fish tasted amazing , I will definately tell friends and family to come to toy for the best fish and chips in Torquay

Food was fantastic and staff were very friendly wud defiantly recommend a visit x

Best fish n chips i have EVER had! and i have tryed lots! fish was so fresh and the batter light and crispy, chips crispy and non greasy, i would go to Torquay just for there fish n chips.

Best fish and chips in town. Finally found somewhere where they can actually cook chips properly and not appear as one conglomerated mass. Really friendly staff and what a great location. Bang on the harbour.

Been waiting a long time to try some Saltwater fish and chips!

It was proper tasty!! I ate in and enjoyed every mouthful in a relaxing atmosphere, great service and the place was spotless!



Would highly recommend and will be back for more!!

The all you can eat chips and all you can drink tea is a deal not to be missed!!

Arrived in Torquay hungry having spent most of morning in Cockington, found Saltwater by chance. Good clean restaurant very friendly staff, though be cautious if you have a mushroom allergy as there garlic mushrooms are cooked in the same fryer as the fish and chip, we were lucky fat changed day before and no mushrooms cooked since, local fish and good portions of chips . Staff very helpful and understanding of concerns about allergies. Would visit again if in area
