Samuel Davies Description
Sam is a filmmaker, ferverent extreme sports enthusiast and founder of UK based production company Atlas, passionate about telling human stories.
His creative passion for filmmaking was born from his perpetual childhood hobby to make films from a young age. On graduating from the University of York with a BSc in Film and Television Production, his love for filmmaking led to him to dedicate his time proactively networking and collaborating as a filmmaker. On Sam’s final year University film ‘Cargo’ winning Best Short Film in the Yorkshire Shorts category at the prestigious BAFTA qualifying Leeds International Film Festival, Sam’s invariably competent skillset [directing, producing, camera operating, editing & motion graphics design] led to him to establish a career in directing short-form branded content for some of the world’s leading brands [Texaco, Adidas, SEAT, FORD, UNICEF, Nike, Johnnie Walker to name a few] and world class athletes, actors and models [David Gandy, Jamie Murray, Richard Murray, Rachel Klamer, Simon Clark, Daniel Bruhl] .
Sam’s production company Atlas was born from his flourishing portfolio and his passion to succeed his client’s expectations. The company owns state of the art cinema cameras and equipment and works alongside a network of international filmmakers. Ultimately, Sam’s dream is to build Atlas and his personal brand to stand alongside the world’s greatest storytellers.
