Went for a meal after my daughters grafuation and i cannot thank the staff enough. They are an amazing bunch, always smiling and go out of the way to help. Absolutely beautiful food. Customer service is 100%. Will definatly be coming back. Thank you so much

Wedding reception for 20 in private function room. Accommodated last minute guest, gave youngsters an option on the set menu, excellent attentive service throughout with delicious food. No pressure to vacate premises after four hours. Absolutely first rate. Mille grazie a tutti!

We came to your restaurant on Friday 6 April it was very busy, but you all made us so welcome. The food was spot on and your staff attentive to our needs. Good all round night.

Waited a while for our pre booked table but the wait was so worth it. Absolutely authentic Italian fine dining! Atmosphere was fantastic!

Cannot fault the food and service ! Definitely going back!

Took our mum/mum in law for a birthday lunch treat on Sunday last. From arriving to leaving the staff were very attentive and the food was excellent and very well presented. I had Monkfish with a creamy tomato based sauce which I highly recommend. The birthday girl had a small lasagne as a main and was not overfaced (as she usually is when eating out) and my husband had Carbonara which was scrummie. Bottle of house white and desserts, all of which were perfect. Thank you San Carlos for the great food and relaxing atmosphere x

The best restaurant in Manchester, no question. Impeccable service and the freshest tastiest food. A lovely welcome & ambience, can’t wait for my next visit. The fillet steak san carlo was exquisite. Mr no mussels and Mr muscles made our night. Thank you.

Lovely lovely meal great atmosphere, not everyone choice I had chicken livers to start cooked really nice, then lobster tagliatelle with the most tasty cream sauce, good wine and yeah it’s typical but I like it tiramisu hehe great night with my beautiful friends Xxx

As always great food, great service, we are regulars never had a bad meal, we celebrated our sons 1st Birthday last night they couldn’t of done enough for us which made the night even more special 👌🏾

My friend suggested we go to San Carlo for dinner before going to the ballet at the Lowry, as she'd been before and enjoyed the experience. I have to agree with her, the service was excellent and the food was very tasty! I would definitely go again.

8 of us were stuck in a corner booth which made it a bit squashed for us, we ordered our food and we thought it would have come with chips and some veg but it didn’t had to order that separate.

They charged us for extra drinks which we didn’t have. So had to ask to get them knocked off.was a bit dissatisfied. Think if the steak and other mains had come with chips, veg etc it would have been ok, a couple of guys ordered the steak and lobster said it was for two people it would have done for one person. The food that we did receive was lovely etc. Just a few hiccups

The food was ok, the service was ok, but being shouted at because we chose not to leave the full £30 ‘optional’ service charge was not ok.

Charged for drinks we didn’t have (which we had been warned about so we checked!) And the steak and lobster for 2, was barely enough to feed one �

Not been back here since the last mediocre meal a few years back - So what's changed?



Well...



� My main (Pizza) over-cooked/ charred.



� Waiters chatting rather serving, bless them.



� Garlic bread spot on



� Atmosphere excellent



� Drinks order wrong (Twice)�



� VFM - A one-er for the 2 of us about right.



All in all i'd rate the experience no more than 6/10.



Would i rush to go back? Probably not...too many other far better restaurants in Manchester.

I was a tad disappointed.

Took them 25 minutes to seat us but the starters came almost immediately.

We then had 30 minutes to wait for the mains.

Whilst the food was good the customer service was lousy.

Dont think we will bother again.

Good ambiance. Had chateaubriand ruined by far too much salt. Staff were disinterested in our comments about the salt content. Another one of our party had Lasagne and all the sauce was a stodgy lump in the middle.

Not sure we would return.

Food was execellent but took over half an hour to get sat down after booking for 4pm and being told to be prompt arriving, service left a lot to be desired but food was spot on

Went here tonight for food. Wasn’t happy at all with the service and one of your Male bar staff was really rude, he had no manners at all.

Food was good but not fantastic, won’t be coming here again. Staff need to learn some good customer service skills

My mother went for a special meal with her friends. They were pleased with the service of their waitress and wished to tip her the service charge directly rather than pay it on top of the bill. After doing so, the promised complementary liquors never arrived and all other staff members ignored them and turned their back on them as they left the restaurant (usually the staff are very polite and make a point of saying goodbye on the way out)

This was clearly frowned upon, soured the experience and made them reluctant to return.

An hour to wait for main meal, cold plate, warm(ish) food, over priced prosecco. Won’t be returning.

Would love to be able to rate the restaurant but didn't make it any further than the front of house desk. Made to feel extremely unwelcome by the female staff member who was hosting the desk last night. We were told we would "need to be quick ordering" 35 minutes prior to the advertised end of food service time. Very rude, no manners and complete lack of customer service skills. We will definitely not be returning unfortunately. Such a shame as San Carlos restaurants are generally great, 1 staff member has totally changed our perception.
