Visited curry mile tonight for the first time ever, read about Sanam last night online (mixed reviews) can honestly say make your own judgement as i thought it was amazing. The food was delicious, tasty, plenty of it and reasonably priced. Will defintely be visiting again. Our waiter was friendly enough but a few of them could do with learning how to smile

Visited Sanam Rusholme on Eid weekend 17-06-18. We were a group of 23 people. All I can say service was excellent from start to finish. The manager greeted and accomodated us such a big family in a single seating area (much appreciated). wanted a smile in return . The food was to a high standard and authentic tasting..The kids loved their burgers too . If you haven't been to this restaurant before. U should try it, u will not be disappointed.

User

Tip Top food and prices. I couldn't believe the bill! . . I thought they had left dishes off. Mind you I was on a flying visit from London where you need to be a Banker to survive. Wonderful efficient staff including our waiter who has been there 35 years, needless to say he's practiced. Food delicious and the size of the samosa starter was a meal in itself for cheap as chips pricing. In London we are used to ones the size of a chicken mcnugget. Good pastry outer, well filled and non-greasy. Perfect. We went mid-evening along the Curry Mile on a Saturday night and obvious that we chose the Top Spot. 5 *****

It's was a busy Saturday night but a table was found for us , This is our second visit to Manchester in the last few years and we couldn't remember the name of this restaurant, we remembered we had lovely meal last time so we walked up the street and found it , mixed grill for all of us , what a bargain and well cooked served in no time at all , we will call again when in town.

User

Great service. Authentic Indian cuisine. Beautiful food at reasonable prices. Our favourite curry house on the Curry mile. This place never disappoints!

User

Fantastic food.Fab dessert although I got too full up and couldn't do justice to it. Staff is pretty amazing, friendly and on point. Thanks to my friend Singh for making me have a taste of India!

User

Although it was very busy due to a function the food was kept topped up and the service was good. Its very cheap so do not expect 5 star cuisine. I really enjoyed it cheap cheerful and enjoyable

User

We had jalibi it was delicious usually we viste over there for lunch diinner & break fast food is nice

User

I'm not a big fan of spicy food therefore I usually don't visit this type of restaurant, due being with a group of co-workers someone took me there and I was quite happy with the food I had and the efforts made by the chef to not give me something really spicy, the staff was friendly and the prices were ok

User

I normally go there once in a month for Halwa pouri breakfast on Sundays. It is very tasty indeed and well cooked. The seating and environment is comfortable. However, I must say there staff performs the customer service with a grudge like they are doing some kind of favour to the customers. You do not get a decent, happy-to-serve customer service. The realization that your customers pay your wages is definitely not there. Unfortunately I have seen this pattern in Punjabi ran resturants (no offence meant, I am a Punjabi myslef) that customers are served with an attitude. Value your customers, do not take them for granted.

User

Went there for Halwa Puri with a good friend of mine, not good as per Lahori standard, however good enough as per UK standard. A bit disappointed as the offerings don't include paratha Nihari and desi tea as you would aspect from a full desi breakfast, upon asking I was bluntly pointed out to some other restaurants which offer all that. Couldn't fault out the ambient though, surrounding is good enough and clean. Overall ok for Halwa puri only if that's what you want if seeking more variety to satisfy your desi appetite then other options to go for.

User

The service was poor and the usual rudeness from a Pakistani restaurant. Food was nothing special and tried to charge me for popudoms and chutney which I didn't have.

User

Party of 6 went for Iftaar. Order was given at 2100.

1.. Arrived at 2150.

2... Paratha ( a special fried bread) was definitely not Paratha.. .. It's more Like roti with some oil.

3... rest of the food was good.

4.... NHS discount.... mentioned on the menue.

When paying the bill with valid NHS id , I was told that it's only per person not for a table..... ( different from any other discounts at other restaurants including Nandos).

Overall, ordinary food at slightly raised prices.....

User

Although the food was very tasty and enjoyed by my family and I, I must say that the service was not very good! Not only did we have to ask three different people to take our order, we also had to ask for tissues and water on more than one occasion and I feel as though we were ignored! I have a five month old baby and we were seated in the far corner which was cold and rather uninviting. We decided to order a cake for dessert which was dry and rather stale.

I will say once again that the main food ordered was very tasty but I would strongly recommend that your staff are trained to perfection so that the general public have a satisfying and enjoyable experience. Thank you.

User

Where shall I start? We decided to go to Sanam on Stockport Road for an eid meal (for a change). We were seated and had to wait an hour for the food to be ready. We ordered our drinks which they forgot about and had to chase the waiters before we even recieved them. You think it can't get any worse? But I assure you it did we started to help our selves to the food, when we got back to our table and started to eat, we notice the fried chicken was raw,red inside and uncooked. When we showed the waiter the uncooked food he said he would make a fresh batch!!! well he definitely did not do that he took the chicken gave it to the chef to cook it more. The rest of the food was tasteless and nasty, the only thing that was edible was the egg fried rice. so basically to some it up we were given raw chicken, tasteless food and the only decent food was egg fried rice-so wasted £60 on this RUBBISH!! This does not even deserve 1star,it's 0.5 star only because of the egg fried rice.

User

Went there this evening for a family celebration would not recommend to anyone...first there were no starters at 7pm...despite buffet starting at 6pm. The food that was there was not fit for consumption. Chicken tikka was as hard as bricks....lamb seekh kebabs smelt and tasted off....special of the day was more like yesterday special....rubbery and hard. All the mains were cold, when staff were asked about these problems they shrugged shoulders saying they were new. A manager was told and he just waddled round. I have been vomiting all evening. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE

User

We have been visiting Sanams since I was a year old. It's my parents all time favourite restaurant. It saddens me to say that the customer service has just gone downhill over the years. We still tend to visit, at least every couple of months because it holds a sentimental value to my parents.

On mothers day, (26/03/17) we were greeted at the door and sat on a table. We placed our order. Our popadoms and chutney tray arrived, only half full. Spoons in the tray all sticky and so were the sides of the tray.

We then recieved our starters, all on one plate by the waiter named Helal. Said to him there are 6 of us, we've recieved everything on one plate so can we have some fresh plates for each individual. He said they don't give individual plates for starters and walked off without even having the courtesy to listening to us. We were left with our used popadom plates. So we then called over another waiter, asked for the name of the rude waiter and politely asked him if he would serve us some fresh plates which he did. By this time our starter was only mildly warm.

There were two other tables around us, who were also complaining about cold food, and dishes not being served in a timely manner.

It's a shame because the food at Sanams is actually amazing.

And this isn't only a one off occasion with the poor customer service. It is on going. It was supposed tobe a special meal we were treating our mum to but unfortunately it wasn't so special because of the people you employ.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Really bad service, ordered our drinks repeatedly 4 times along side our food order. We carried on politely asking them when our drinks would arrive for them to say "what drink do you want". Wouldn't recommend this place. Rude rude staff.

User

Hygienic wise not very clean (plates weren't washed properly had to ask them to change it over, jar of water again not washed properly). Curry tastes and presentation OK, pelau rice presentation/taste and price not again, nan ok. Overall customer service OK. Presentation of the Restaurant poor. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one...
