Sandaway Beach Holiday Park

Great site. lovely and clean and lovely pool. The on site entertainment centre is nice. Food is good value and was always well cooked. No sports bar for the football fans which I found disappointing on a rainy Saturday during the season.

Had a great time nice and relaxing. Site very very close to beach which meant we could go as many times as we like. Staff were friendly and helpful always.

Camped there for 4 nights and it was awful. The pitching field was in a slope, toilets and showers were very dirty and tatty. The showers only had one temperature which was scalding hot and you were lucky if it worked because most of the time it didn't. When the showers actually decided to work you had to press the button every 5secs for the water to come out. Only good thing about it was the location which was amazing but I definitely wouldn't stay there again.

Lovely location and friendly staff. However the facilities are disgusting! The shower block for campers is filthy and the showers trickle out water down slimy walls. Having stayed at other John Fowler sites I was shocked at how poorly maintained this one is. For example, the washing up room has only one working hot tap which is hanging loose. The light is broken and it stinks of damp, probably due to the holes in the sink from the missing taps. The showers and toilets are revolting- the daily clean involves squirting a bit of cleaner on top of poo stained toilets. With a bit of investment this park could be amazing- sadly this doesn't look like it will happen any time soon based on the age of similar reviews. I could not recommend this park to anyone staying in a tent.
