Public Service Announcement 😉
Now I know that competition is healthy and keeps us on our toes... However.....
I sell oil because I have the knowledge to supply the correct oil.
... I sell wiper blades because I have the knowledge to supply the correct wipers and I know how to fit them (free of charge).
I sell bulbs, again... As above ⬆️⬆️, the same with key fob batteries and car batteries come to that.
I could go on about Antifreeze, screenwash (all of mine is concentrated), etc but it's boring banging the same old drum....
In short, I am a business woman and if my teeny, tiny little business isn't supported and it starts to cost me money to keep it open, I won't do it. Why would I want to get myself into huge amounts of debt to keep a business open that has become irrelevant... I'm not that vain.
I would never be arrogant enough to think my business is important to the town but, one day when that cheap £2.99 blade comes flying off and spears a pigeon... On your head be it 🐦
On a Saturday morning when you've had your "cheap" brake pads from wherever/whoever and your wheels are off and you need a brake fitting kit... Who you gonna call... Ghostbusters?
I'm not proud and if I have to close my business down, it wouldn't be a fall from grace, it would be a wise and logical thing to do. I would survive.. Pinky promise. I'm not afraid of work.... Cleaning, cooking, office work, pulling pints, markets... I've had a go at it all, because that's how you learn. Maybe I should just open a brothel, (now that would cause a stir.. No pun intended), obviously I'd be on reception, I'm not good with bodily fluids 🤮.... Now how do I go about change of use... I jest. 😜

It is with regret that I will have to close the shop today whilst I attend 2 funerals. SMF will close at 1.45 pm and hopefully reopen at 3.00 pm when Nigel returns from teaching (fingers crossed and motorway prevailing). If not, he should be back by 3.30 at the latest. Information and an update on the situation with my son. Now if YOUR 3!!! sons come home tonight and tell you that my son retaliated to their actions (pushing him to the ground and kicking and punching him.. AGAIN).... Feel free to knock on my door, I'll be waiting, but not with a smile or a welcoming cup of tea. You see he's finally found a little bit of his mothers fire in his belly and has reached his limit.
