Nice caravans not too. Far to walk but with limited parking outside each caravan not too bad though. Facilities pretty good. Chip shop and small shop here. Bar prices are a bit high 4.10 a pint. I was a a charity bash so it could have been a hike for that.

It's a reasonable option for a cheap family holiday - close to good attractions and beaches etc. - but a little hit and miss. The quality of the food on site is poor and is quite expensive considering this. Our caravan was cold, damp and smelt of mould, dog and cigarettes - the identical model next door was fine and another model priced the same was much cleaner and more modern; pot luck it seams.

Absolutely fantastic place for a break. Halloween fun was brilliant great entertainment and wonderful staff. Only downside so so busy and not enough staff to deal with queues or clearing and cleaning tables made the bar and rest areas look dirty and uncared for

A unique holiday park in a woodland setting, far nicer than other caravan parks. It has beautiful lodges & some lovely, quirky privately owned chalets. I don't find the timing of the entertainment great for young children but I'm not too bothered by that. Arcade is fun. Indoor pool could be warmer. But I love it here.

Great little holiday for little ones! Very clean, lovely pool and great facilities for small toddlers. The bar/cafe could do with some updating as a bit dull and lighting is a bit like an office. Food and drink were pleasant and staff were lovely.

Farmer palmers up the road was a lovely farm for a trip out. Also, you can revisit within 5 days for half price.

The camp was very busy on arrival but staff were not fazed by this and they were very polite, helpful and friendly. The camp was kept very clean, there were staff seen every day cleaning inside and out even to the point of cleaning the glass on all the machines in the arcade. The caravan was immaculate and well stocked, we even had a free upgrade to 3 bedrooms. I found the shop reasonably priced for a camp shop, toys for as little as 50p. The mini quad bike track was very reasonable, only £1 per token. The swimming pools were very clean and tidy. All in all we had a great week and will be booking again for next year, I recommend having a go on the pedal bikes, great fun.

Great for camping.
We stayed on a serviced meadows pitch at the end of August.
We had no complaints. There were plenty of toilets and showers on the site and they were always well stocked with loo roll and hand soap.
We didn't make use of our entertainment passes, so can't comment on that.
We enjoyed the warm outdoor pool, had a meal from the restaurant one night and had a play in the parks and arcade.

Incredibly over priced drinks that changed by the night and throughout the night. £4 for a coke - not bottled but from a mixer gun!! Come on! Food in the restaurant was massively over priced and poor quality.

It a nice park but don't have there fish and chips it's all from frozen

Great club, great site! The swimming pool could do with a bit of a refurbishment, the paints peeling off the walls, half the lockers are broken and there's not enough changing rooms. But the club, amusement arcade and restaurants are outstanding (bit pricey) I have never seen a light show like the one at Sandford! We will be back soon!

I came here for a long weekend with my partner and some friends a week or so ago. To start, it is catered for young families so be prepared for a lot of noise. The caravan itself was reasonably modern though my partners family (who were staying there for a week) were not so lucky with with one of the lodges - cleanliness seems to be an issue looking at previous reviews. The site itself is quite tired but there are two pools - one indoor, which was far too chlorinated to enjoy, and the outdoor pool, which was surprisingly enjoyable. There is a small arcade, which I spent a bit of time in and was a good laugh. On-site food was average, I wouldn't recommend the fish and chips shop, and the main restaurant was your standard pub food. Other options include the Clay Pipe Inn next door to the entrance and there is also a very good Indian close by. Lots of drink variety for standard prices, although they do put on deals periodically. Evening entertainment is hard work at any resort and the one night we had a Jersey Boys tribute that weren't too bad. The major hang up I have about Sandford is the general cleanliness, I appreciate it is a large site but in the general use areas, there is a lot of rubbish, which can be left a long time giving a poor impression of the site. Granted some parents leave their kids to create a small landfill site where they are sat but staff might want to consider sweeping the areas more regularly as it certainly put me off the bar areas after the first night.
