We also offer an amazing choice of vegetarian options.. Check out this Aloo Gobhi Adraki, a healthy dish of stir fried potato & cauliflower cooked with fresh ginger & tomatoes.

Today special...., Nihari is a deliciously smooth flour based stew with slow cooked mutton and a myriad of spices. This recipe takes a long time to cook but is easy to put together. To get the best flavour, the mutton is cooked on very low heat for upto 4 hours. Traditionally Nihari was cooked all night and then served to the Kings of Delhi in breakfast after the morning prayers. #southampton #indianfood #niharimutton

A #Balti #curry is a stir-fry curry that either originated in Baltistan, which is in the northern mountainous region of modern India or, as some will argue - in Birmingham in the 1970s. A Balti is cooked in a type of karahi and served in a Balti bowl. In essence, Balti is a type of cooking, rather than a particular type of curry, where the ingredients are quickly cooked over a high heat not dissimilar to a stir-fry. A Balti can be vegetarian or non-vegetarian and has a medium heat. At Sanjha we offer the Balti with either chicken, lamb, vegetables or tiger prawns.

We were staying in Southampton for a few days.

We had seen this establishment featured on a television programme and thought we would give it a try.

It didn't disappoint one bit. In fact I would say it was on par with the best Punjabi restaurants in London. The butter chicken and Nan bread I had was superb and my wife was full of praise for the aloo tikki and mattar panneer. The lassi's were outstanding and the service was very good.

In summary a very enjoyable meal and if we are ever in Southampton again we will surely visit.

User

We used Sanjhas events for a home bbq to cater for 55ppl. The chef and management that attended to help for the day were perfect, had everything under control and I didn't have to worry about one thing. The guest couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was. We will be booking at the restaurant for more dinner dates for sure. And will 100% use them for event catering in the future. Best food in Hampshire!

User

WOW this place is amazing Best Indian food Restaurant I've been to so far. The food is different from your typical Indian Restaurant. I love the Biryani dish. The staff are friendly. Defo recommend this place. Can't wait to go again.

User

This was my first time using the takeaway service that's offered via just eat app the delivery was exactly at the time stated ,,, the food was exceptional and the best Indian food I've had for ages I can't recommend highly enough.

User

Sanjha is my go-to restaurant for curry in Southampton. I've tried many Indian restaurants in the city, looking for the authentic Punjabi dishes I've grown up with, and none of them come close to the taste and quality of Sanjha. Whether I've ordered a takeaway or dined in the restaurant the food and service is always great. I had a birthday meal there with 15 people last year and everyone left loving the food. I highly recommend Sanjha to everyone looking for an Indian restaurant in Southampton.

User

Quick service, very helpful/friendly staff, food was delicious, defo recommend a visit!

User

Me and husband enjoyed their lunch set menu highly recommended best Indian cuisine we have tasted by far, recommended by an Indian work colleague,we will be back again πŸ‘

User

Love the food at Sanjha, it's the most proper authentic Punjabi Indian food which is actually from India. Unlike other restaurants whereby the dishes are prepared to a more Bangladeshi taste and cuisine. I have a lovely fresh chicken tikka prepared fresh on the day, with a nan and a protein packed dhal and yogurt after my gym sessions every week to give me my much needed portion of protein and carbs.

The staff are always very friendly, attentive and on hand to help and advice you on what to choose from if your not too sure. All washed down with a lovely cup of coffee.

Simply delicious, can't beat it keep it up guys well done..οΏ½

User

Shocking! Ive thrown most of it in the bin. Sag aloo tasted burnt, riata very sour like it was off, onion bahji greasy and soggy and the poppadoms very overcooked tasted horrible.

It took over an hour and a half to arrive too!

I wont be coming back, it not the first time ive been disappointed in this restaurant.

User

Would NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant at all. The service was very poor!!! Waited over 1 hour for the mains to come out. The food was not great, under cooked. Travelled half hour to come to this place never again!!!!

No communication with each of the staff. The staff was all over the place. When it come to pay the bill that was the when they wanted to be helpful.

User

We are regulars here for takeaway and eating in as the food is usually amazing! However tonight was very disappointing. We spent just under Β£70 on takeaway and the food was all awful. Everything tasted the same, overpowered with hot spice! The popadoms were stale like they had been left from this morning. The starters were stone cold. Such a shame as we often tell our family and friends how lovely the food is but because of tonight we feel ripped off & disappointed for the lack of care.

User

This takeaway is awful, I will never use again, ordered delivery took an hour and a half to get here when it wasn't here after that time I called and they told me the driver could not access my property. the reason he couldn't access the property is that the restaurant sent him to the wrong address. when he turned up the food was extremely cold, the portions were small, the saga loo looked and tasted like something my baby would have in her nappy, the korma was bland and the rice had far too much cardimon in it(that's all u could taste) the onion barji were raw on the inside and the chicken was tough !

User

The Punjabi Samosa was way too oily and on asking got a reply they are deep fried. They think as if Indian are having Samosa for the first time and it something which served only outside of India and don't know that it is deep fried. Oil was dropping from Samosa. Panner was soggy and the curry was more like dessert. Panner paratha was more of dough and less panner stuffing.

Ordered at 2015 and could only eat the first bite at 2110 coz the Samosa was being retested by their chef. The mains where ready and was served only after being asked about it and thus was warm and not hot. This was my second visit and was very disappointed.

User

Phoned in and placed an order at 20:28 said it will be 1 hour.. 21.45 I call up to ask where the order is...

Guy on the phone said the driver was 5-7 minutes away

22:10 still no food... Call up again apparently the delivery driver left 15 minutes ago with our order and it should've already arrived and he should be on his way back?? Odd

23:00 gone to bed and still no delivery

User

Ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala last night alongside rice and two sides. It arrived and was a really light colour, when we tasted it, it tasted like peanut butter and that only. It didn't resemble a Chicken Tikka Masala or any form of curry at all, it was inedible. Not to mention we poured the Chicken Tikka Masala all over the rice so we were unable to eat that as that too was ruined. We were only able to eat the two sides which was obviously really disappointing. We called up and because the kitchen was closing Sanjha promised us a repeat of our meal tonight. Called up this evening and they said they are only willing to send out another Chicken Tikka Masala, not a rice or anything else. So not only did I pay Β£15 for two bhajis and a cheese naan, but I was denied a refund and wasn't reimbursed with a whole meal either. Absolutely disgusted, poor customer service and little empathy for a bad dish they as a restaurant have served a paying customer. A real shame and won't be ordering from Sanjha again.

User

Not very impressed with my take away - will not be back and feel robbed of Β£27. I expect quality food, not curry that has split, yes both the korma and the madras. Will be heading back to Jahangir on Winchester Rd in future - never had a bad meal there. Sadly I'm disappointed with this takeaway. Naan bread was soggy and lacked flavour, never had a curry that was like cottage cheese

User

I wouldn't even bother! Micky D's over the road would be a safer option. Undercooked food, slow service: 2 hours for 2 courses. Curry night at Weatherspoons probably deserves a Michelin star compared to what I've just attempted to consume!

User

I would say not to order from here as it took over 2 hours for my order to be delivered and it was cold. As they knew the order was going to be late they sent beer and popidoms which to me is no good as im a single mum of a ten month old so i do not drink. When i rang to ask where my order was i got told ten mins and was brushed off. I was also told they had too many orders to cope with and that they were sorry at no point did they try and get my order here sooner. I ordered at 1915 and got my food at 2205 the food was cold and of bad qulity and didnt even fill the tubs that were sent i will notbe ording from here ever again.

User

Dish missing, sauce for the biryami, called and asked them to deliver a fresh one. Informed that it would be delivered straight away. After 30 minutes called again and we were informed that they were waiting for the driver to return and that once he had that we would receive the dish straight away. Waited another 30 minutes and finally the dish arrived...cold.

Had a very unpleasant and cold meal.

Oh and before people ask, the driver said that they weren't busy, so that can't be used as an excuse.

Won't be recommending to friends or my customers.
