At Sarah Bates School of Swimming, we offer swimming lessons from 3 months old. Sarah has over 30 years teaching experience throughout the Nottingham and Derbyshire areas, and has had her own swim school established for over 20 years.
Sarah Bates School Of Swimming Description
The Sarah Bates School of Swimming is an A. S. A swim school following the NEW National Plan for teaching swimming. The program takes swimmers through a journey of aquatics, which has been specially designed for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
The swim school has been running since 1996 which is based in Derby, Derbyshire, Sarah Bates the founder has 24 years teaching experience, which gives you mums piece of mind knowing your child is in the best possible hands. The Swim school is regulary featured in local newspapers and has been on Central, BBC News on T. V for its outstanding achievements, children as young as 2 and 3 years old achieving awards for swimming unaided.
My main aim is to get children of all ages safe in and around water helping them understand the dangers of water, teaching children as young as 2 years how to swim to the side if ever they fell in to a pool, which gives you parents piece of mind when you go on your holidays!
The swim school has also been recognised for producing excellent swimmers who have gone on to swim for top swim clubs.
Lessons run with a maximum of only 3 children in a class for beginners and 4 for improvers to 1 teacher who always teaches in the water giving your child that extra special attention.

🐳It's our 3 year anniversary today!🐳 We would like to thank everyone for the love and support we have received since opening our new pool! Sarah is so proud of everything the children have achieved! 🏅 We'll be having a little celebration at the pool later so expect lots of music during lessons😃🎉
🐳 How amazing do they look in our new SBSOS swim hats! 🐠 From 1st June, all children will be required to wear a swim hat for lessons 🐳 Please make sure you bring a swim hat to your next lesson. If you would like to buy one of our SBSOS swim hats, they are £4 each 🐠 If you have any questions, please let us know!
We are now taking bookings for our next Crash Course w/c 27th May and for the Summer! A Crash Course involves having a half an hour lesson everyday (Monday to Friday) at 3:30pm and is £55 for the week 🐳 If you have any questions or would like to book on, contact us now!
