About Sarah Deighton
I gained Royal Academy of Dance qualified teacher status in 2002, passing with Distinction. In 2003 I acquired ownership of a local ballet school which had approximately 60 pupils. Over the last 8 years I have increased the schools numbers to over 200 pupils with a 2 month waiting list for places. The Sarah Louise School of Dance is predominately a ballet school but also offers students the opportunity to learn jazz and contemporary dancing. Since taking over my school I have given the students of The Sarah Louise School of Dance a chance to take Royal Academy of Dance, ballet examinations as well as perform in the schools much anticipated productions. I really enjoy taking dance out into the local community encouraging children of all ages to join in. I take particular pride in helping children develop in confidence and as their ability to dance improves watch as they gain a sense of achievement.
Alongside the running of The Sarah Louise School of Dance I also teach GCSE and A-Level Dance at Northallerton College. I have been teaching at the college for three years and last year gained Qualified Teaching Status. I have also taught dance classes in many local primary and nursery schools. These classes are extra curricular allowing youngsters to develop their co-ordination, musicality and encouraging them to socialise with other children.
I also work as a teaching mentor for The Royal Academy of Dance and have successfully trained and mentored many dance teacher trainees. The Sarah Louise School of Dance employees all have dance experience and have successfully passed dance examinations up to a major level. They have plenty of teaching experience and are all fully CRB checked. The Sarah Louise School of Dance prides itself in offering a professional, reliable service that’s sets a good example to all its students.

Looking forward to a new ballet term starting on Monday. It's going to be busy ...RAD ballet exams, professional dance 'An American in Paris' workshops with west end professional and a Rambert theatre trips to look forward too!! Preparation is also underway for our infamous summer show 'ILLUMINATE' !! So excited....I love show time!!

The majority of Dance Pulse tshirts will be ready to collect tomorrow morning at our character rehearsal 9-11am ....if you haven't already paid for it make sure you bring your money to pay on collection....remember to wear your tshirts for the full cast photo on Sunday! Oh and bring your 😄 xx

Don't forget to bring some hair things and have your hair tied back in a high neat ponytail!

Hi, a quick message to remind all my Saturday ballet students that class are running as normal tomorrow. For everyone else all dance classes will be back to normal after half term (Monday 2nd November) A quick update on the Allick family, we are all loving been a family of 4, Scarlett is loving the big sister role and Verity Rose is thriving, as for mummy and daddy sleep would be nice!!!
