Went here last week and had a really lovely meal , had a onion dosa and will be back again soon to try more great food. Very friendly staff , clean and food very fresh.

I've been here twice and found the food to be of excellent standard and value. It has the vibe of a fast food place, which stops me from making a special journey there. But the food is excellent.



Although I'm a meat eater, I find pure vegetarian Indian restaurants to have tastier food than their meaty counterparts. And this place doesn't disappoint.

Delicious, Authentic and Freshly Cooked Vegetarian Food, so much to choose from. Very relaxed environment to enjoy a meal, staff are very helpful, even if you would like them to explain any of the items on the menu. The Thalis are amazing, I had the North Indian Thali and it was delicious, I will definitely be coming here again, can't wait to try all the other delicious food here, great food at a great price �

Lovely food let down by the service, lack of professionalism and customer focus. No guidance with ordering from an extensive menu. Plastic party cups for lager was unappealing. Waiter or kitchen staff seems to have forgotten some of our order. When enquiry was made about our remaining order. The query was dealt with in a dismissive manner. Until what must of been the manager came over to apologise. Eventually the rest of our order arrived by which time my companion had finish their meal. This didn't leave us with a good dining experience. Sadly will only be going back because of the exceptional standard of the food.

Tooo slow service...went for Lunch with parents... had to wait for our order for 30 mins.. and then got wrong orders.

And staff dint have the courtesy to inform that it will take long..



Not worth going.. Food Taste was average.

The food is somewhat OK but service is poor. I would like to know if the music is for the benefit of the diners or the staff? Why play loud Romanian rap type music in an Indian restaurant? Yes, it was a mixed crowd of diners but no Romanians amongst them but a few of the staff were Romanians. I have observed this on previous visits. SB is living off its good name but will not make one if the service etc do not improve. Sort the music out; there is wide choice of Indian or other music ...so stop playing Romanian rap music..

Me, my husband and my son visited SB croydon yesterday. We ordered a north indian thali and my husband ordered a Masala Dosa. Thali came after quiet a wait and when we asked about Dosa, the waitress said she will get back...she didnt come back, then we asked another waiter, he said he will check. Then my hubby finally asked the manager twice about it and he said he will check (really all keep checking�)...it was almost 40 min wait for a dosa and we could see people who came after us were being served Masala Dosa.



We were tucked in half, husband decided to walk away as hez not someone to pick a fight or so but height is when he went to pay the bill at the counter, the manager charged us only for thali without any apology!



Customer comes to eat at lunch time and returns hungry with no regret and apologies from the manager!



Food is okay but service is pathetic! And this isnt the first time ...we've had bad service experiences earlier too but not this bad to put up a complain or bad review.



Sorry to say ..we loved SB east croydon, illford, tooting but croydon bad experience!! Very poor service!

worst food and worst customer services. i have ordered for spring rolls and i was given burnt roils with outdated shredded cabbage. overly priced and low quality. i even been to saravana bhavan n eastham which is much worser. i would recommend taste of India not only for its high quality and superior customer services. taste of India is the best and located in Eastham. please please please don't go to saravana bhavan in Croydon and waste your money..... absolute shitt hole 😕. i truly wish taste of India opens their branch in Croydon. .

I was served smelly chutney with Idly

Food was ok. Service was really bad. No one seemed to care to take our order.



One waiter asked us to open our beer bottles. The mains were served at different times.



We spoke to the manager to tell him that the service was bad; he didn't seem to care. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
