An afternoon of cleansing the body and refreshing the mind as we move from the quieter, reflective energy of winter into the spring energy of renewal, growth and expansion, as marked by the spring equinox.
The workshop will include energising and uplifting yoga practices, plus a rejuvenating restorative yin yoga practice, with a focus on the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians. There will be breath-work (pranayama), meditation and yoga nidra (deep conscious sleep), to clear the b...ody and mind, shed any unwanted layers, and prepare our energy to shift into the new season.
You will also learn the art of nasal irrigation, called Jala Neti. In this traditional hatha yoga practice, a small pot is used to wash the nostrils with warm, saline water, helping to remove mucus and pollution from the nasal passages and promote drainage of the sinuses, allowing air to flow more freely. This may help to prevent and manage respiratory tract diseases as well as to relieve colds and other disorders of the ears, eyes and throat.
Neti is a simple and effective technique that has a relaxing effect on the eyes and can relieve muscular tension in the face. It can help to relieve emotional tension and may support the alleviation of anxiety, anger and depression. By stimulating nerve endings in the nose, neti can support improved activity of the brain and in the overall health of the individual.
£35 (Plus an additional £15 for your neti pot and instruction manual)
About Joanna Darking Jo Darking is the founder of Satyam and a long-term practitioner of yoga. She has been practising the traditional yogic cleansing practices for over 20 years, and finds great joy in sharing these unique and practical tools, with the hope of supporting people to find a sense of freedom and renewal.

‘Love is Love. There’s no condition. There’s no lack. There’s nothing to find and there’s certainly nothing to take. Love can only be received - and given - from the fullness of the open heart. For the open heart is a liberated heart. The open heart is boundless, without limitation or fear. The open heart loves, spontaneously.’
This weekend we will be celebrating love with two very special sessions:
On Friday evening Lizzie Cutmore will be leading the Restoration Hour with... 'Open to Love' - a relaxing, restorative, meditative class to open your heart and encourage a sense of self love. The session will include a Kundalini yoga set, gong relaxation and meditation.
On Saturday, Andrea Kwiatkowski will be leading a heart-based workshop, deepening our connection to our natural state of bliss, joy and unconditional love.
So as spring stirs and awakens, come and let your heart be stirred and awakened with us <3

This 2 hr workshop will introduce you to the basic principles of fermenting, the relationship we have with bacteria and the potential benefits of fermented food.
It will include a detailed demo of the process of making a batch of water kefir and kombucha, with plenty of opportunities for questions.
With your new found confidence you have the opportunity to purchase a starter kit of any of these ferments to practice your new skills at home.
... About Esther Game Esther is the founder of a local fermented drinks company ‘CHA Ferments’ and has been stocking the local area at farmers markets and local shops for almost 2 years. Her background is diverse, and has included many unusual creative endeavours, whilst also being a yoga teacher with a self taught interest in wellness and nutrition in particular.
Ferments are now an integral part of her life and play a part in a much bigger picture of wellness. She is passionate about producing quality kombucha and water kefir and is totally hooked by the rich culture and history of fermenting.
