Needed a good clean.
Went in a party of fifteen, majority of rooms NOT ready when we checked in.
Promised a free bottle of champagne in all rooms reserved for my party. However, we were given a slip of paper on arrival at reception to collect bottle from restaurant. When we received the bottle it was only a half bottle of Perry.
Would not recommend dirty hotel to anyone. Paid far to much money for 'service' we received.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Go anywhere else. Seriously, you would probably be safer sleeping in the public loo on a Saturday night. Dirty, dilapidated and not a nice place. You have to pay for your room when you check-in because I imagine there have been a lot of people refusing to pay. It's not even cheap, you can find a clean and basic bnb for much cheaper

Basic but functional, needs a spruce up as decor is dated. Breakfast was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful.

Needs a bit of renovation but overall a very nice place at a good price. Nice and clean, lovely staff and great food too. There is also a lift to all floors, what more could you ask for. Plus great views from the sea view rooms.

When we first arrived our room was far too hot, we opened the window and turned off the radiator which made no difference whatsoever. We proceeded to take a look at our view which consisted of headless pidgeons on a net outside our window along with cigarette butts on the window sill. After taking more of a closer look round our room we found wrappers and dirty baby wipes on the floor and under the bed. After an unsettled nights sleep we chose to take a shower before heading out for what we had planned. I was half way through my shower when the water went cold and turned off completely, we went to complain but weโ€™re told nothing was going to be done. The water eventually came on At around 9pm. We were not given clean towels for 2 days. Our wet dirty towels were folded on our bed when we returned. Following the issues with shower, it then stared to run either boiling hot or freezing cold and no in between. There was no phone in our room. Me and my partner have both been ill the entire holiday following eating the hotels food. I am extremely disappointed in the quality and service provided by the savoy and we will NOT be staying here ever again....

Upon first impression the hotel looked beautiful from reception however upon entering our room (standard family room) we were greeted by a curtain hanging off its rail, a kettle and light that cracked when turned on, hairs on our towels, dirty tissue by the side of one of the beds, shelving hanging off the wall in bathroom and a shower that sprayed everywhere except downwards!! We also were left with barely any condiments and only two mugs when being a family room you would automatically expect four!! The beds were very hard and uncomfortable so unfortunately after spending no more than 7 hours in the room we checked out and took an early trip home!. The manager seemed to take it all on board and advised us that there would be a full investigation but none of the staff seemed really enthusiastic other than taking the money upfront for the room upon check in. The whole thing is a real shame as even for a standard room you would expect everything working and clean as it certainly didn't come cheap.

Wedding of Dean and Victoria Jackson.

I'm sure the bride and groom won't mind me saying this but I'd like to thank you making Dean and Victoria's day a special one this Saturday 15 April 2017.
I can't speak for all the guests but I really enjoyed the day myself and the food was amazing and the staff really helpful ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป thank you for making the wedding run as smooth as it did and a memorable day for not just for dean & Victoria but everyone who attended.
I would definitely recommend the savoy to anyone wanting to hold a wedding or any party's at your hotel

Thank you

Terrible. Untrained staff. Rock hard beds. Broken window. Dirty carpet that never gets cleaned. Unwashed towels. Had to replace glass window with piece of cardboard, which smelt like alcohol. Disgusting. Never come here. Stay at home. It's your best bet. Also if I'm honest I have not seen one young family. All seniors. Nothing wrong with them... it's just that it gives it a gloomy, boring atmosphere. Don't come here, just don't. Stay at home.
