Scarborough Fair Collection

Great place for everyone service could be improved at the café.

The Scarborough Fair Collection is housed in a rather nondescript warehouse on the edge of a holiday park. Despite the unassuming exterior, inside is a treasure trove of old mechanical organs, fairground rides and other assorted vintage vehicles, steam engines and penny arcade machines. The staff were exceptionally friendly and chatted at length about the exhibition and how it attracts steampunk fans (probably looking for a break from the Goth Weekend held in nearby Whitby). The entry cost of £5 was about right for the overall experience. My only disappointment was that none of the organs were playing and the fairground rides weren't accessible.

Fantastic place to go one of the best places I have been in a long time.
Loads to see & do , the vehicles and everything on display is in fabulous condition. Staff are really helpfully in explaining the history of all the exhibits.

Good for a rainy day. Some excellent exhibits and classic fun for the kids. Penny slot machines good fun too. Good for a couple of hours of fun.

I very interesting variety of exhibits from a full size Carousel to slot machines where you can play with old penny coins purchased from the reception.
There is a large hall housing a Wurlitzer Organ which was being played when we were there. Two more halls hold most of the remaining exhibits. There are old cars and motorcycles, working fairground rides and a huge array of fair ground organs plus traction engines. It is privately owned as are the exhibits which are individually owned.
A bright clean place Ron by very friendly people and a very reaonably priced cafe.
Not very well signposted but approached up the Flower of May Caravan Site Entrance.

Great classic rides and old-penny arcade machines. Kids loved it, and it's so much better value than a normal fun fair.

This is a must to visit it takes you back to when you were kids and the young ones will love it

Great nostalgia, not pricy. Looks like a great party venue .

Brilliant and friendly museum - out of season it was quiet, but staff were happy to fire up rides and organs on demand.
