A huge congratulations from us all at Scenic to Paul, who completed his solo long cross country flight today. Paul flew to Humberside and Leeds East airfields before returning to Durham Tees Valley Airport. General Skills Test next and then he's completed the PPL course!
Martijn, Dianne and Paul had perfect weather today for their 90 minute Northumberland Coastline Air Tour! Martijn's flight back to Amsterdam tomorrow will be in a slightly larger aircraft!. ✈️

Hartlepool Headland and Marina. On 16th December 1914 the Heugh Battery was heavily damaged by the German Navy and Private Theo Jones was the first soldier to die on English soil during the bombardment. You can see the history of the North East much better from the air!
England has so many disused WWII airfields, of which Wombleton Airfield is one. Located 4 miles east of Helmsley and opened in 1943 as a sub-station of RAF Topcliffe, it can usually be seen during our Helmsley/Scarborough & Whitby Air Tour.

We had the best time celebrating our first wedding anniversary on one of the 90 minute flights! We were welcomed with anniversary banners and a card signed by all the staff, which was such a lovely gesture. We planned our route with Matty the pilot, which was very informative. We popped the champagne and shortly after, up we went. Matty was fantastic, we got to see so much more than what we had anticipated and he even found our wedding venue, which really made the flight special!
It will certainly be an anniversary that we will never forget. I can’t recommend this company enough!
We had a fabulous flight over three family homes (Durham, Wolsingham and Newton Aycliffe). Chris (our pilot)really went 'above and beyond' to make sure we saw what we wanted (we buzzed each house multiple times)and he was a fantastic source of local information and all things aviation. All that plus stunning scenery en route, great value for money and a first class, pleasant experience from start to finish. Thanks guys, we'll be back!
This was bought as a birthday present for me ...not sure what to expect !! Welcomed right from the start, sign welcoming the family (a nice touch) refreshments offered and no rush into the flight preliminaries. Matty our pilot was informative,chatty and knowledgeable about our route .... nothing was too much trouble. The flight was first class and we got to see everything and more than we could have hoped for. The flight over our homes and then on to Durham Cathedral was a brilliant experience and we are still buzzing 9 hours later�
Would recommend this company to anyone looking for an unusual birthday/anniversary present. Thank you so much to the team at Scenic Airtours NE for an excellent experience.

My Husband and our two girls went on a 30 minute scenic flight with Matty on Father's Day. They had the option to suggest where to go or flight routes were available if we wanted that. We chose Durham City and possible fly over Beamish Museum. This was happily obliged and we were shown a map of where the flight would take us and information on what the flight would entail by Matty. Carole the operations assistant was lovely and as I was staying firmly on ground while Hubby and the girls flew, I was able to go with them to board and take photos. I could also view their take off as they came up the runway before returning back to the office. I was well looked after by Carole and had coffee. Biscuits, sweeties and bottled water if i wanted and Carole kept asking if there was anything i would like. I had the flight radio near me to listen for the return so I could watch them land. The whole experience for the flyers and for me was brilliant, lovely, friendly, helpful staff and I would highly recommend them to everyone.
My 7 year old daughter absolutely loved her flight. She had the biggest smile on her face. You were made to feel so welcome. I highly recommend it. Thanks again for the experience.
Loved every minute of the adventure the kids went on today they havent stopped talking about it and cant wait to go again.... Really friendly staff and would recommend scenic air tours north east to anyone xxx
Just surprised my girlfriend with a flight over the north east this morning was amazing from start to finish ,,,we flew over our house and all the way over Sunderland where we live, up the coast ,,would highly recommend this company pilot explained everything and showed us places from the air ,,, loved every minute of it
I recently completed an LAPL to PPL conversion with Scenic Air tours North East. The training is second to none. The lessons begin with a very thorough brief, before you head off to the aircraft and get airborne. Chris the chief pilot, puts you at ease and goes out of his way to make sure all is understood and to a high standard.
The aircraft is also maintained to a high standard and a pleasure to fly.
The operations team are also very helpful and always at hand to answer questions and book slots, not to mention the endless supply of coffee and chocolate biscuits.
You will be well taken care of by all the team at Scenic Air Tours. If you are looking to have a memorable pleasure flight or take your flying further, I would highly recommend getting in touch Scenic Air Tours North East.

Great service. Changed our original booking for the next day due to the weather. Lovely building with coffee, tea and biscuits before we set off. The flight was great and Adam went through all the flight information with us and pointed out everything we wanted to see. Great experience.
First class service, plenty of destinations to choose from and since the price is per flight and not per person, good value for money for such a unique experience. Thank you Scenic Air Tours!

Enjoyed an excellent flight at the weekend on a beautiful clear day with lovely views. The plane was comfortable and the flight was much smoother than I had expected. I would advise anyone who is considering doing a flight but feels a bit nervous or hesitant to just go for it because once you're up there you'll wonder why it took you so long to do it. Huge thank you to everyone involved and I look forward to my next flight!

Booked this on a whim as an advert popped up on my FB page and we were in the area. What a find! Thank you to Carole, Adam (pilot) and Cameron (work experience......give him a job) for an unforgettable experience. We did the Tyne Bridges tour and got to fly by Durham cathedral also. Bonus! Very, very friendly and professional. Wouldn't hesitate to book another trip next time we're 'oop north'. See you soon x
Amazing flight experince over Durham cathedral with Scenic air tours. Views were incredible and we felt well looked after by the team. Our pilot even found our hotel fron up above. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great present and a great day out. Well worth the journey from Liverpool. Even before arriving I knew the team well and they made every effort to make sure I visited when the weather allowed because of the long drive. Lovely little touches too like grabbing a video of us taking off. Really excitig experience!
