Scientific Exploration Society Description
The Scientific Exploration Society (SES) is a UK based charity (No 267410) that was founded in 1969 by Colonel John Blashford-Snell OBE. The SES leads, funds and supports scientific discovery, research and conservation in remote parts of the world offering knowledge, education and community aid. Whilst few areas of the world remain undiscovered, there is still much to learn and to be done in promoting sustainable economies, saving endangered species and offering community welfare in less developed countries. The Society also focuses on seeking out and supporting 'Pioneers with Purpose' through the SES Explorer Awards.
