For Better Mental Health

Scunthorpe & District Mind is a local organisation devoted to promoting a better quality of Mental Health in Scunthorpe and the wider community. We offer a range of groups and services to meet the various needs of those affected by poor mental health, including:

Peer Support service: The opportunity to visit the centre and socialise with other members of Mind. Tea, Coffee and cold drinks available (priced 50p). Pool Table, weekly general knowledge quiz (prizes to be won), and monthly karaoke sessions amongst other activities.

Listening and Signposting service: We have private spaces specifically used for one to one support, so if you feel that you need to speak to a member of staff or volunteer or even make a confidential phone call this can be easily arranged.

Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP): We are pleased to offer weekly WRAP sessions for those interested in creating their own WRAPs, including the formation of crisis plans and wellness tools to aid recovery. VOICE of Service Users: VOICE is for anyone with experiences surrounding Mental Health services with something to say. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10: 30 in the Centre to discuss any issues around Mental Health that concern us, so if you are interested in changing the way any particular service is delivered, we could use your help.

Wellness and Healthy Living Group: Do you want to learn more about improving your mental health just through making small changes to your lifestyle? Come and join us on Monday afternoons (next group of sessions will start in due course - check for updates! ) to have some fun exercising and learning about the enjoyable side to eating well and feeling great.

Karaoke Group: On the first Thursday of each month (from 1pm).
