Went to the sealife centre in May with my 3 year old and Mum.

I made a mistake with my online booking (merlin passholder site issue not sealife) but the people at the sealife centre could not have been more helpful.

We went round the aquarium twice, collected all the stamps & even touched the starfish and crab in the rockpool (the guy there was really knowledgeable & was great with my daughter...he even gave her a pop badge when she fell over and hurt her knee)

We also had a really lovely meal in the cafe (the kids food was really well presented & the jacket potatoes were really good) & the small one enjoyed the softplay.

Brilliant afternoon out. Glad we went.

We visited on Monday as part of our weeks holiday in Great Yarmouth. We had planned to visit as part of our home education learning and I had emailed beforehand asking about school entry prices. We were given school rates (term time visit and home educator), which made the visit more affordable. I took my email with me, but the member of staff on the checkout had to check it out as she was unsure. This was the only delay we had during our visit. A note behind the counter might help with this in future.

There were new displays since we last visited which kept my two engaged (11 & 13) and they loved taking photos whilst we were there. It was lovely and quiet and so we got to touch a star fish and hermit crab. The lady was very knowledgeable and made the experience very interesting. The shark talk was interesting but this lady was a little less sure of the facts, but it was still fun.

The tunnel under the shark tank is wonderful and definitely the best part of the experience. What a wonderful array of fish through out.

We enjoyed a yummy cake in the cafe before we left. The lady there was friendly and the cakes were great.

A great visit, we will be back.

We have a season pass and every single time the staff are always helpful including going out of their way to do a bit more! They are very sweet to the kids. We always have a good time even if it’s just a quick run around and a cuppa!

User

We had a fantastic time at the sea life centre today. From the moment we walked in the door the staff were funny, informative and helpful. Our 2 toddlers enjoyed most of the sea creatures & displays, they are well made so they are low enough to see in or they can climb up & view. The largest enclosure with the sea turtle took my breath away 🐠🐢🐟🦈. Well worth a visit xx

User

Me and my partner really enjoyed our visit yesterday. I havnt been since i was young. Glad to see this place still around as most of great yarmouth now has turned into a memory that i cant relive.

User

Massive thank you to all the amazing staff at sea life centre yesterday, we arrived quite late in the day to purchase our annual passes and have a wander round, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and where very helpful and friendly

I had a fantastic time – I'd originally come just to see the penguins being fed. However, as the centre was relatively quiet, one of the staff members (Shannon) practically ended up being our tour guide. She even helped me to overcome my lifelong fear of crabs – I ended up holding one, which is something I never thought I'd be able to do. All the staff members we encountered were really friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what they did.

User

Had a buy one ticket, get the next free paid 16 quid odd in total the 3 of us as had an under 3, really impressed with this place, its huge compared to the one back home and has so much more to look at, would do it all again xx

User

Brilliant time! Staff were amazing with their knowledge I did ask a staff member (Paul who was very amusing with his talks) why the sharks did not eat the smaller fish in the tank and apologised if it was a silly question he explained it all in great detail and told me no question was stupid. Loved Noah and the penquins so amusing! However we did feel that the prices were rather high, which we were ok with as only 2 of us but felt a lot of

Families will miss out on this amazing experience as if they are on a tight budget it could be unaffordable as we have been in that situation ourselves when our children were younger. We also feel that the photographers should display prices as it is quite expensive but when you see the end results you feel you have to buy as they do great special effects.

User

A great place to visit with the wife and kids. Plenty of fish and other animals. Activities also. Currently lego a nd got s free lego diver. I had snd issue with my booking but the centre sorted this out before our visit via Facebook messaging. Staff are really helful and happy.

We visited today for our daughters 4th birthday. She has never been to the sea life centre before and we are so pleased we picked this for her birthday treat. There was barely anyone there so she was treated like an absolute princess. All the staff spoilt her rotten and she had such an amazing time. The food was lovely as well. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it’s currently over priced for what is there but the penguins weren’t open and there is a new area being built so this may feel better value once these are open. Many thanks again to everyone

Sea life staff were great, especially the man on shop till on Saturday . The venue itself is quite expensive for what is there, even with online ticket reductions or buy one get one free offers found in certain food items. At least it is an all weather venue. Disappointed no reductions offered to visit Hunstanton sea life centre as they used to do this a few years ago when you had been to the venue .

User

Very overpriced. We bought tickets for half price at the Tourist information shop. Still felt that it was a lot for what you got. Coming back to Great Yarmouth in July with parents but doubt we will visit with them. The shop is a joke. £12.00 for a mermaid pencil case!! What a rip off. I understand that they need money for conservation work but just seems it could be done better. Also £3 for a bag of vegetarian piranha food....? No thanks

User

Took us 30 minutes to walk around the whole place, massively overpriced. Felt so sorry for all the sea life, there are huge fish cramped into small tanks, insufficient space for them and the big sea turtle looked so unhappy sat at the bottom.

User

Wouldn't even give this place one star. We went today with my little girl who is 2.5 years old and my niece who is 10. The staff where to say it in a nice way where very depressing. We spent the morning running around getting stamps to find out they ran out of prizes, we didn't get anything for it not even a well done. We asked a member of staff where all the turtles went at the end part.. She just said" I'm new I don't know" I remember coming here years ago and the staff gave a shit about there customers and wanted to make the effort, but today it wasn't the case. Very sad.

We arrived shortly before 3pm today for our babies first birthday treat. We dived into the baby change and when we finished the toddler had a little runaround the soft play which was all good until we got to the counter to get our tickets. It was just 3:10 and we were told they had just closed and we could not go in. Considering the member of staff had seen us arrived and run around after the toddler saying we are going to go and see the real fish as soon as she would get her shoes back on you would think the staff would have mentioned they were closing. But no. We were, despite driving all the way here in the snow on our daughters birthday told we would have to go home without even seeing a real fish! Saying we were all disappoint is an understatement. Added to this our toddler is autistic and can’t understand that the only fish she saw today were the plastic ones we saw in the shop! Huge disappointment and awful customer services!

User

Really really gutted. Checked online to see that Sealife was still open in snowy weather. Drove in snow from Lowestoft with our 2 year old daughter and son whose 1st birthday it was. When we arrived I phoned as we were parked across the road and it looked closed, I wanted to check before the kids knew where they were going and before trapsing everyone and the pushchair through snow. The man on the phone was very upbeat said yes were open, you'll be our first customers, we told our daughter were going to see the fish she got very excited as did we all. Got to the doors 15 minutes after phonecall to find them closed. A lady I'm presuming the manatwe came to the door to tell me they were closed at 1 (at 12.50) said you won't have time to do anything. I explained what we were just told and begged that we could just go in to see whatever the first lot of fish were for my excited daughter. The woman just said sorry you're not coming in. Gutted and disappointed had to console my daughter and trudge back through snow.
