This is a bittersweet post Sea Spray friends. It is with great sadness that after two and half years at the helm, Joel our fabulous FOH manager departs us in a couple of weeks. Joel has been at the heart of Sea Spray since nearly the very beginning, and has had a massive part in growing it from strength to strength. Without his hard work, drive and determination we really wouldn’t be the cafe we are today. However, Joel has always wanted to eventually run his own establishm...ent, and has been given a fantastic opportunity to further his learning and development in the South West. It goes without saying that we will miss him terribly, but we are all so proud of how far he has come, and so excited to see what he masters up in the future. So come down or pop in over the next two weeks and catch the last of this guys amazing talent at Sea Spray.

Morning all, just to let you know that we will be closing at 4pm today, with last orders for the kitchen at 3pm, due to a private function. Apologies for anyone wanting that late afternoon caffeine or smashed avocado fix - normal service will resume tomorrow x

Thanks to all those who waited patiently whilst we waded through the decaf oat lattes and smashed some avocado for you all. What an amazing lunch we had today at sea spray. Took my mum for a birthday lunch and it lived up to all the talk we had heard...

We stumbled across this 'hidden little gem' (as another reviewer perfectly put it) on our stay in Rottingdean, and following our first breakfast we visited everyday. The guys were super welcoming and the Sea Spray special got us safely through a bad hangover. We will be back for sure. Keep up the good work guys! Gareth & Sinead

This is a real gem of a place. Delicious, fresh food, and all the staff are super friendly. They always make us feel really welcome, and we love going there!

The best cafe in the land. Delicious food, lovely people, and a beach below if there's no tables and fancy a takeaway. My new favourite place.

Sea Spray is an amazing place- if you've never been here you're in for a treat as the food and the coffee just can't be beaten! Fresh, healthy but yummy ingredients making great breakfasts, lunches and cake!

They've been nominated for a Good Food award- please vote for them! They all work so hard to give us lovely food & the service always comes with a smile & a chat- and even a joke sometimes! The best place to eat for miles around!

One of the few paces where you can get a basic filter coffee with cream and the coffee was lush. The welcome was lovely as well. We will definately be back to try some of the food which looked gorgeous

I love coming to this cafe, it's like a home from home. Everyone chats together & the home made food is divine. My boys love the ice creams & the coffee is yummy. The young owner has done a fab job on his first venture, it's brilliant!

Fantastic breakfast at Sea Spray, great location and view this morning. The staff are really friendly and has a great atmosphere in there. A little hidden gem in my eyes that is just outside Brighton. The food was really nice and fresh and great coffee too!

Fabulous. Lewis Barker is a total master of his art. World class scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.....

Fab service, gorgeous homemade food, family and dog friendly. Highly recommend and will visit again soon. Beats other cafes in the area 100%.

Can't keep away from this wonderful newly managed cafe on Rottingdean seafront. Great food, friendly staff and the best views out across the channel. Working through the menu and everything I have tried so far has been delicious. Well done Lewis and team and see you soon!
