Great value if you get the annual pass which saves you money on your second visit onwards. Smallish area that's well laid out with lots to see. Had an indoor dinosaur exhibition with moving animals. Butterfly walk through was impressive as there were numerous ones flying round. All the usual favourites including rays, shark, clown fish, penguins.

Small and compact. Just right for kids of all ages. Friendly staff. Cafe/ restaurant is small.prices reasonable.gift shop can be a bit pricey. But overall, it was a lovely day out. I have visited twice now with my small grandchildren.

Got the yearly passes. Great value. Really lovely sea creatures and animals. Capacity monitored so never too crowded. Good little cafe. Pleasant staff all round. Highly recommend. Especially the sharks.

Brilliant for kids. Very comfortable experience. Bit costly as you can go round it in an hour or so but worth purchasing a year pass as it allows unlimited visits. I've used it 3 times so far with my 14month old.

Good selection of underwater species displayed unfortunately in rather tired looking cases but still informative. The arrival of land lumbers ie a meerkat enclosure obviously to try and boost revenue. Good place for taking children.

A great place for families right on Southend sea front. It has a good selection of fishy creatures as well as otters and mercats. Children are well catered for with easy to see viewing platforms into the tanks. They also have talks about the different fish and penguins.

Its a smaller aquarium but well laid out and good sized tanks making everything easy to see. Regular talks by the staff that seem to care about what they do there. My little boy loves it!

Great afternoon out for the family. The centre itself isn't the largest, but that being said it is just big enough to keep the little ones entertained before there attention wanders. Me and my other half regularly take our baby using the annual pass, the lighting and brightly coloured fish in many of the tanks give a great sensory experience for her.would thoroughly recommend the centre.

Very nice place with many interesting aquatic and non-aquatic species. The place is very clean and animals well feed and cared about.
I would improve things like drawing fluorescence lines on the floor to follow so you get to see the whole thing and not miss things like us.
I would add more interesting stuff about each individual on the outside of the window so people can learn stuff about them.
Overall the place was a very nice experience for my family considering our 2yr boy.

We took a five-year old boy, who loved the sharks. A bit expensive, but fun. The staff were very approachable and helpful. Only real criticism was the length of time we had to wait for our food order to be served - half an hour was too long, especially with a young child

Nice place, little small for the money. The place surrounds a big shark tank that you walk around. Could do with a few more exhibits.
We bought a yearly pass as this seemed best for the money.

Small, but fairly interesting aquarium. My 9 month old sister, and 2 year old cousin absolutely loved it. I found it quite fun to take photos there.

The place is small but it's very clean and interesting. I went during the week in the afternoon, when there were fewer children. The tube which runs through the aquarium is wonderful. Short but sweet in all honesty, but if you're local, then it's well worth a visit.
