This morning we were very upset to see that someone has caused criminal damage to the outside of our bistro as well as trying to break in. March is here and it definitely feels like spring is in the air. We love the start of this season with all the delicious produce, we will be releasing our new menu soon.

Went tonight for partner's birthday meal and without reservation all 4 of us had great food. Service was good pleasant and friendly. We've booked again for friend's birthday in August so it must be good! Sadly we were all too full for sweets and they looked good too.

Went here on Friday night. Fantastic food, attentive staff, and beautiful setting. A total hidden gem we will definitely be back

We went there for Sunday Lunch yesterday. It was our second visit and it was just as superb as the last time. The food is exceptional, service friendly and welcoming and the restaurant cosy and comfortable. If you haven’t been before you need get yourselves down there. Highly recommended.

We went on Thursday and had an excellent meal.I enjoyed best squid ever followed by trio of fish,which is a meal with a difference.I continue to tell others,and find decor,service and specials make it worth the journey.

We had the most amazing meal here and would highly recommend a visit. We tried a mix of dishes from the main menu and the specials board and all three course were spot on. Make sure you also try the lobster mac n cheese.... delicious!

We enjoyed an excellent meal here last Saturday and I thoroughly recommend eating at sea and soil. The food was just great and the service was too. We are so lucky to have such a lovely restaurant near by.

One word. Exceptional. Hats off to the Chef and the staff. Staff had personality and great manners. Food was truly outstanding. The cod wrapped in pancetta for main was cooked to perfection. My fiancé had the venison - again, an absolute joy to eat. Well done. We will be back in a couple of weeks!

Me and my hubby eat her today for the first time it was lovely, would definitely recommend it and would definitely come back, the stuff where really nice & the restaurant has a lovely cosy feel, the only thing is it said it was open on Google & when we got there it was & didn't open till 5. But you can't beat the food. My husband had the steak and I had the pork belly.

Lovely atmosphere. Brilliantly yummy food with hearty portions! Would fully recommend it to all especially those that like seafood. Thanks for a lovely meal!

I would like to say a massive thank you for not only a superb Sunday lunch today but also to the staff who made all of us so welcome but especially our 2 1/2 year old and our 15 month old who both loved the Yorkshire puddings!! You never fail to impress, defiantly our favorite place to eat in the North East!

Had a meal Saturday night first time and was lovely. lobster was beautiful, service was spot on would definitely recommend to friend and family.

Had Sunday lunch today. Absolutely fantastic food as always. Meat and vegetables cooked to perfection. The cauliflower cheese was also the best I’ve ever had. And the raspberry lemon and white chocolate profiteroles were a fantastic way to finish the meal. All washed down with a couple of local beverages �.

The service delivered by the staff was also fantastic.

Will continue to highly recommend.

Gorgeous meal, recommend the crab and crayfish tortellini followed by roast duck with rum and raisin cheesecake for dessert. Nice walk back to cottage from restaurant via harbour jetty.

Excellent food, well presented dishes and sincere, friendly staff. Lovely little gem hidden in Amble. One of your must try at least once, places to eat. Dress well.

Enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch today. Thanks Jonny for the best sea trout dish ever! My friend had halibut and crab risotto which she thoroughly enjoyed. Managed a creme brûlée which was beautifully presented too with meringue and fresh fruit and it was to die for! Will definitely be back soon.

By far the best Sunday roast in Northumberland, actually probably the best we’ve ever eaten anywhere! Amazing beef, cooked to perfection with all the trimmings plus delicious veg, cauliflower cheese and proper gravy. We’ve been to Sea and Soil lots of times and always enjoyed the food, we’ve had Sunday lunch twice now and will be back soon for more!

Absolutely gorgeous. Food was out of this world. Dad had whole lobster for his 70th and it was delicious. Presentation of all dishes were fantastic. Waitresses were very knowledgeable and helpful. Can't wait to go back. Most definitely recommended. A hidden gem in the heart of Amble x

Absolutely fantastic! We arrived without reservation on a busy evening, the staff were very accommodating in getting us a table. The food was amazing, I had the stonebass with crab and prawn risotto, my Husband had the steak. Compliments to the chef on both dishes. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Absolutely delicious food. Perfectly cooked, presented and served. Lovely restaurant can't wait for a return visit.
