On Saturday 17th August, Sefton4Good is once again taking part in the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Abseil. Our team of brave volunteers are facing a 150 foot free fall drop over the main entrance of the iconic Cathedral to help us raise money for local good causes in Sefton. Health professionals in Sefton came together on Monday 8th July to hold a ‘Big Tea’ and cake bake event to raise money for a local NHS charity. ‘Big Tea’ events are being held across the country raising money for NHS Charities Together on and around the 71st birthday of the National Health Service. These donations will be distributed to a number of NHS charities throughout the UK to help further support and benefit local patients. Community groups in Sefton are being invited to apply for a ‘Food with Friends’ grant being offered by wellbeing organisation, Living Well Sefton. This is the sixth round of the popular Community Resilience Grant and groups can apply for grants up to £2,000 for projects that focus on healthy eating which help to bring people together. The council’s Schools & Families teams are preparing their seventeenth annual school uniform bank but are desperately short of vital good quality blazers for those pupils most in need.
