Unfortunately we are unable to offer skate at the moment. Most skate is caught off the Cornish coast and they have been experiencing dreadful storms - so understanderbly the fishermen have not gone out!

We are pleased to be included in this list of great shops!

Happy New Year everyone. Although we are back to normal opening times - the fish market is still 'catching up' from the fishermen having time off over the Christmas period. Slowly more and more fish are appearing at the market and we hope to be 'fully stocked' really soon.

A big thank you to our customers who 'bared with us' last night when our card machines were out of action! - this was caused be 'Global Payments' - (one of the biggest payment companies in the UK) - crashing! - all is now resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Why not join us in our restaurant for lunch? Alongside our existing menu we have our 'lunch time special' - great value!!

We are looking for staff! We need 1 or 2 part time staff. You need to be over 16 - no limit on upper age. We pay great rates and you get a free meal! Ideally you need to be flexible in the evenings you can work - probably 1/2 shifts per week (more if colleagues are on holidays etc.)... Our working week is Monday-Saturday so occasional Saturday's will be included. Please come in and see us with your CV if interested.

We are open on Good Friday. Hours as normal. However, if you are thinking of coming into the restaurant - be advised book asap as we are already quite full already. We are closed on Easter Monday. Happy Easter to all our customers.

Sorry to say there's no skate this evening - simply wasn't any at the market this morning. We do have however - fresh fillet of monkfish as a special. On the counter and in the restaurant (whilst stocks last )

We are struggling to buy fresh plaice at the moment. The cost has risen sharply - as there is high demand and little fish around. We are doing our best to try and keep it on the menu. However, please be patient with us - we will not purchase frozen plaice.

NEW for today - An amazing home - made smoked haddock and spring onion fishcake. Made with fresh fish!

Wishing all our customers a very happy new year.

We would like to thank our loyal customers for their patience during the last month. We had some serious maintanance carried out causing quite a lot of disruption. Despite this - we managed to stay open for the majority of the month - allbeit sometimes with a restricted menu. We are now 'fully functional' - and again thank all our customers for the patience and continued custom.
