Took my rescue dog for his bronze award with lynsey with no intention of him passing and just wanting some socialisation for him, but due to Lynsey's patience and vast knowledge of dogs, we passed! I'm also new to working with my dogs myself and out of the many phone calls I made to gain knowledge, lynsey was the only one to reply, proving she is in this work for all the right reasons, her love of dogs!! Her experience, knowledge and natural way with dogs has been invaluable!

Today we passed our Gold Assessment and we could never have done it without the help of Lynsey and Emma!!



We've done all three awards through Sensible Dogs. We previously started the bronze course elsewhere and were told that our dog either wasn't ready or would always be too distracted to pass. But we could tell that Sensible Dogs was different. They came up with so many suggestions for keeping Loki occupied during the sessions and facilitated our practice for the Gold fully alongside a busy bronze class, giving us separate space to practice and plenty of advice. It is clear that they can tailor their approach to the dog they see in front of them.



We have really enjoyed ourselves progressing through the courses and would definitely recommend Sensible Dogs!

Thank you so much for your help with our rescue beagle. We have taken on everything that you adviced and he is now sleeping out of his crate and stopped barking at night. We are well on the way to walking off lead. All this from only two sessions and great advice, you really know your stuff. Would 100% recommend you.

Thank you for a fantastic 1 to 1 session on recall for my 5 year old Springer Spaniel and myself. Lindsay took time to listen to my concerns, assess my boys recall and then gave some great advice with time,to practice that advice . I left with confidence that I have better understanding of how to achieve better recall. I look forward to the Scent workshop .

Sensible dogs is amazing! Harvey enjoys it so much that he knows what time Lynsey is coming and will wait for her. He has been with Sensible Dogs all his life and he comes home from his walk and falls straight asleep from an exciting day out. Not only does Sensible Dogs offer daily walks but also day care, agility sessions, Obedience Lessons and even more. I couldn't recommend a better dog walking service.

Really worried about taking our collie pup along because our previous collie had a bad experience many years ago and sadly she wasn't a very sociable dog. However this turned out to be a enjoyable experience for Mo our cheeky pup and me. Friendly and informative teaching the basics for us to build on., plus Lynsey was happy to answer any concerns.so thanks for a good experience and i know i would recommend you if any one had concerns about their furry friend.

People who know me know I don't like to give 5* as there is always room for improvement!!! (as my dear old dad would say).

My relatively nervous dog has just completed the life skills course and we both had a lovely time. The course was fantastic and we learnt so much. We will definitely be attending one of the other courses. Could not recommend highly enough!

Lynsey and her service are both fantastic. She has worked wonders with our mischievous beagle. For me her genuine love for the animals and their wellbeing is the most important and outstanding quality. Lynsey has always gone the extra mile and offered any advice when we have needed it. I was looking for a dog behaviourist to help me with socialising my nervous Springer, Bertie. I contacted 5 different people and only Lynsey took the trouble to respond.

After meeting Lynsey in her training field it was clear I had found the right person to help Bert. Lynsey was calm, considered and spent time assessing Bert, before introducing him to the first of her dogs. Bert was initially very nervous, Lynsey watched him closely, and explained what she was looking for, and gradually Bert became less reactive. As he was introduced to each new dog, he became more relaxed. Lynsey only introduced him to one dog at a time, and each dog was chosen for specific character traits. This continued until she was happy that Bert was ready to mingle with several dogs.

The 2 hours we spent in that field were transformational for Bert, and I have so much respect for Lynsey as a result, because she definitely knows her stuff.

I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants to have their dog assessed by a really competent behaviourist. It's also worth noting that what Lynsey charges for the assessment is a fraction of what many other people charge. It's the best ┬Ż60 I have spent in a very long time.

I just want to thank Lyndsey and Emma for their amazing dog care services, I work 12.5 hour shifts and knowing that my dog is being cared for, exercised and socialised with other breeds of dogs it really puts my mind at rest knowing he is enjoying himself, I have also have noticed a difference in his behaviour for the better he now is a more calmer and less anxious. Would 100% recommend these guys a brilliant service couldn't imagine life without their help

I have two dogs that attend, they always know their day care days, and excitment levels are very high when Lyndseys name is mentioned. We would highly reccomend sensible dogs to any dog owner. Lyndsey knowledge and approach is amazing, as is her knowlege of each and every dog.

Having used Sensible Dogs for the puppy classes, bronze classes and now the day care services I would like to highly recommend them!



We originally wasn't going to do any training sessions with out lab Murphy but we are so thankful that we did! They were fun to go to, and ourselves as well as Murphy learnt some very valuable tips to help with this obedience and training.



We have also recently been taking Murphy to the day care sessions as well. He loves going and is always excited to see Lynsey and Emma. We can also guarantee that at the end of the day he will be completely shattered! It's lovely to see the photos which are out up throughout the day, so we can see what he's been up to.

Awesome, fantastic people. I've had several rescue labs, needed advice with 5month old black lab, 3hrs with Lynsey and her own dogs has made huge fantastic difference to Ernie and our bond. Walks now more enjoyable and confident for us both. Feel we've progressed months. Can't wait to join the bronze class in the new year.

A really big thank you to Lynsey for all the help, support and guidance with our cockapoo Ted over the last year.

From the one to one sessions at the very start with our very enthusiastic and strong willed puppy these were a great help not only for Ted but showing the family how they needed to be with him,then onto the puppy traing classes for six weeks that not only helped Ted but also assisted me with having the confidence to deal with him while out and about. We then had to have a few more one to one sessions on recall as Ted was very adamant he wasn't coming back when called, these were excellent and Ted has progressed very well in this area.

We also then adopted with Lynsey's help and little westie who is now a very big part of our family. Both Ted and Barney go twice a week to doogy day care and throughly enjoy themselves and come home at the end of the day tired out. Knowing that they are looked after with such care, professionalism and passion gives me the confidence of leaving my boys all day without any worries. I I cannot thank Lynsey enough for all her help and guidance, I could not have done it without you ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į

A big thanks to Lynsey and Emma for a fantastic course. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the course was informative, relaxed and really enjoyable. Who knew dog training could be so much fun !!. I would recommend to anyone with a puppy or young dog. We loved it so much I am ready to sign up for the bronze next. Just as an added bonus, we made some good friends to meet up for walks with.

Definitely 10/10.

A big thank you to Lynsey at Sensible Dogs - Ashburton for a great 'Good Citizens Puppy Foundation Class'. Myself and my two young boys really enjoyed coming each week with our puppy Wilbur. As new puppy owners, we all learnt a lot over the weeks and Lynsey was so helpful and informative, always able to help with advice and invaluable expertise over a range things from teaching basic commands, to socialisation and for our puppies and ourselves to become good citizens. The classes were friendly and relaxed, my 4 & 6 year old enjoying participating with the tasks and we enjoyed meeting the other puppies and their owners. We look forward to further training classes with Lynsey in the future, once we have mastered all the things we have learnt so far!
