No more petrol engines and certainly no more 2-strokes 😏

I don't know how but it seems I managed to forget about the blingiest bike in our little motorcycle menagerie, the 1999 Honda Magna 250. It's silver and black with acres of chrome, a solid back wheel, custom fenders and a backrest. No idea how it slipped under the radar but I've now rectified the issue and put it up on eBay. Perhaps now and I can sleep more easily.

Spent a bit of time “helping” (getting in the way of) some of the mechanics at the sister company today. Hard working bunch of lads. Very much doubt they’re saying the same about me 😬

An FTR in its natural habitat, a post bike on a break and three local lads out for a spin. #sevenseasinjapan

For those of you still with us (and damn this jet lag) here is a 40 second video of the science behind the poop bike. Normal service (pictures of bikes) resuming tomorrow.

Hard to know what facial expression to adopt when posing next to a motorbike powered by poop. Feels a bit like an episode of Top Gear.

I’m in Japan for some meetings with the team over here and to find some more rare bikes. It seems that Japan has now taken to using pirate English. Jack Sparrow would be proud.

Just been to the Toto museum. Found this motortrike they made. It’s powered by “nightsoil”. It was ridden from here (Kiatkushyu) to Tokyo - about 630 miles - a few years back. Love the little design touches like the big loo roll on the back 🙂

A post for a Saturday evening. The original advert for the Van Van 50. Clearly the target market was Victorian bathers 😶

Testing out the 1970 Suzuki TS125 Me: Dunno why I’m being so cautious. This bike was built for this weather. Cameraman mumbles: Because you’re past it, Mark. ... I edited that bit out.

1986 Honda GB500TT. Beautiful bike and lovely to ride.

The CB400SF Hyper VTEC Spec II. As quick and as slick as silvery syrup on a silkworm. Really beautiful, responsive machine.

Honda Runaway and Suzuki Van Van 50. Two early eighties quirky little two strokes. But which one is cooler? Runaway or Van Van? We need to know.
