Wonderful food and services, we will be going again and soon, if you enjoy nice tasty Indian food and excellent service then this is the place you need to go.

We've been going to the Sharbar for the past 25 years (back to the days when they had the fish pond). The food continues to be outstanding. We travel from Warwickshire to eat at the Sharbar, haven't found another Balti house to beat it in 25 years!

We phoned at 23.00 to see if they could accommodate a table of 9 at 23.30. They were very welcoming and told us to come down. All the food was lovely, hot and tasty. All the staff were helpful and polite when I bet they really were just ready to go home! Will definitely be returning. Thank you again for lovely food and great service.

We are a local scout group and Shabar donated a voucher to our raffle. The night raised significant funds which were much needed. I have fined here also and food is amazing. Thank you so much, you are definitely our restaurant of choice !!! See you for our scout leaders Xmas meal !!

The service is fantastic and the food is even better.

My wife and I used to frequent the Shabar regularity when we lived in Balsall Common. We now live in Brisbane Australia and every time we visit the UK we make a point of visiting the Shabar to catch up with the owners and staff and more importantly to enjoy their great cuisine.

The Shabar is a favourite restaurant of ours.

My family, colleagues and I have been coming here for many years.

I’d like to give special thanks this evening to all the lovely staff who gave me a wonderful evening as I said a fond farewell to my Ward Colleagues as I leave to work in another unit.

They were super efficient with our meals and remained friendly and fun throughout the night.

Thank you for my bottle of bubbly and our Baileys after the meal.

Really amazing curry house. I know a good curry when I have one and this is among the best! Staff are very helpful and the level of service is outstanding. Highly recommended.

The 4 course Sunday special is excellent value as well.

Haven’t been in a while but it never fails! After driving to 2 different nandos and both with stupidly long waits we opened for the Shabar!! Glad we did!! It never disappoints and the service is always great friendly and always with a smile!! Thank Shabar for helping us celebrate our anniversary!!!

Had a great meal here last night. I recommend the - MINTY LAMB ALOO - Tender thinly sliced lamb infused with honey, sweet mango and fresh garden mint, then slowly cooked with baby potatoes in a medium thick sauce. Accompanied with natural basmati rice. Yummy �

Had a fabulous time at the Shabar...Great food and service, and a beautiful personal touch at the end when the staff surprised us all when they gave one of our groupe a cake and a bottle of wine for his birthday.

First time visiting Shabar and boy was it worth it. Plenty of staff to attend to your needs and good was great. I normally take a doggy bag home but actually ate most of my food it was that nice. Well worth a visit

Excellent Indian food and the staff are very attentive and friendly. It was our second visit here and it doesn’t disappoint. Next time we’re up that way we definitely will be making a b line to this excellent restaurant.👍

Best balti house in Birmingham in my opinion. I went in with few friends straight away I got seated to a nice cabin table. Drinks and papadoms came really fast. Food was excellent very fresh and rich in flavour. You can really get a taste of India. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Been visiting here for many many years now. Have never had a bad meal. Came here again last night with friends after a night out in Solihull and the food and staff were fantastic as always. I think it's the first time I've tried Shabars Chicken Pathia Balti and it was beautiful. As I always say, it's best curry house around. See you again soon :-)

Been eating here for close on 30 years. Love going to meet Mia and the lads . Great food great staff and good beer . Keep it up Mia and the boys. Wish I could give them 5 stars but the decor does need a little tlc tbf.

The food was not hot, the reception varied from friendly to ignorant depending on the waiter, the service was not great and with missing sauces, reheating food in the microwave the relaxed meal we wanted did not happen. The food itself was nothing special either. Would not go back.

Shish kebab was dry no onions or peppers with it . Prawn on puri starter was not nice bread under cooked and minimal prawns . Popadoms taste like they have been cooked in old oil .

Will not eat from here again !

I was very disappointed with last night meal from there. My brother in law meal was cold, my sister meal wasn't cooked properly and cold, the service wasn't good at all. My sister works in food and hygiene and your restaurant only scored 1 for hygiene and to be honest after last night i can understand why you got that score. II have been going there for years and to be honest I won't be coming back over the years your food and service has got really poor
