We've another busy weekend planned at the theatre this week! Amongst final preparations for our Agatha Christie play 'The Unexpected Guest' which goes on sale on Monday, we also have our Table Top Sale and Cinema this Saturday.
This month's film is 'The Favourite'.
Early 18th century. England is at war with the French. Nevertheless, duck racing and pineapple eating are thriving. A frail Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) occupies the throne and her close friend Lady Sarah (Rachel We...isz) governs the country in her stead while tending to Anne’s ill health and mercurial temper. When a new servant Abigail (Emma Stone) arrives, her charm endears her to Sarah. Sarah takes Abigail under her wing and Abigail sees a chance at a return to her aristocratic roots. As the politics of war become quite time consuming for Sarah, Abigail steps into the breach to fill in as the Queen’s companion. Their burgeoning friendship gives her a chance to fulfill her ambitions and she will not let woman, man, politics or rabbit stand in her way. The film has won a leading seven BAFTA Awards (including Best British Film) and ten British Independent Film Awards. Colman won Best Actress at the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes, and the BAFTAs, where Weisz also won the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
Box Office is open on the day only, from 10am to 12pm and re-opens at 7pm.
Doors open at 7.00pm (film starts at 7.30pm)
Tickets: Adults £6.00 Children £4.50 Family ticket £18.50

Tickets go on sale on Monday for our next production, The Unexpected Guest - by Agatha Christie.
Did you know, The Queen attended a performance of the play on the evening of 16 February 1959 with Lord and Lady Mountbatten. The cast were unaware that she was in the audience and that night. actor Christopher Sandford fell ill part way through the performance and had to be replaced by his understudy after the interval!
Let's hope our cast are luckier as they take to the stage 18th - 22nd June. Book from Monday by calling 01626 863061 or popping into the theatre box office Mon-Sat (10am-12pm).
