Shahin & Co Solicitors, having been established in 1986, is one of the oldest firms of solicitors in the Potters Bar area. The Principal of the firm , Mrs Duygun Shahin, having completed her training as a solicitor in a very busy multi-partner firm in London was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981 and has been the proud holder of an unconditional Practising Certificate for each year since that date.

The firm specialises in matters of a family /matrimonial nature including divorce, financial matters, prenuptials and co- habitation agreements, but over the years in order to cater for the needs of our clients and ensure matters are dealt with “under one roof“ we have diversified into conveyancing (including matrimonial conveyancing) and wills and probate.

We ourselves on the unrelenting dedication and personal attention we are able to provide our clients and our hard work, honesty and integrity as befits our pride and privilege in being a practicing solicitor. The practice has been established on and has thrived on the basis of this personal attention which has enabled the practice to maintain and thrive exclusively on personal recommendations and word of mouth, which has even included recommendations by opponents of our clients which must be a very serious compliment indeed.

Shahin & Co was one of the first firms of solicitors in the country to be awarded a Franchise in Family Law matters which Franchise, unfortunately with the changing nature of work, we have had to surrender, but we may reconsider our position in this respect in the future.

We pride ourselves on providing our clients with a first class service and take our regulatory obligations very seriously. All work is handled by Mrs Shahin personally or under her direct supervision.
