This is me and my amazing son, Jared, who most of you will recognise having helped in the shop all summer. It's GCSE results day today so we won't be in this morning but Elora will be holding the fort. Wish him luck, he really deserves it and has his enrolment at Stansted Airport College tomorrow for an Aircraft Maintenance course! Hopefully he will still be helping out on weekends! We are all very proud 💚

Went to town this morning specially for a GF / Dairy Free / Vegan milkshake, and MY GOODNESS we were not disappointed at all. 'NOTELLA' was absolutely delicious and felt incredibly naughty, taking good care of my sweet tooth! The owners are incredibly friendly, we had a real good chat and they were also very informative about their products.

SHAKERS is 100% my new go to 'treat'!!

We visited this morning and loved it! The owners were really friendly and obviously passionate about spreading the vegan message through fabulous, interesting food. My sister has been vegan for 25 years and says the shake is the best one she's had. I had the parma violet shake with whipped cream- it had just the right amount of violet so wasn't too overpowering. The eggless mayo sandwich was delicious and we've yet to try the 'soysauge' rolls. Ethical, compostable packaging too. Highly recommend, am just sad I don't live nearby anymore.

Tried the new shakes today. Had the strawberry and Mum had the Mango. They were deliciously smooth and fruity. Will definitely be back and will definitely be recommending Shaker's to everyone. �

There is a real cool vegan community growing in Colchester. With the addition of Shakers Dairy Free to the growing list of vegan friendly places to go, it can only go from strength to strength. The shakes are amazing, simple as and with a wide choice of flavours to choose from, there really is something for everyone. Whether you are vegan or not, go pay this place a visit and be welcomed with a smile and wonderful flavours.

Such a fantastic place, the sandwiches were yummy and the shakes were delicious (I had bubblegum and then blueberry) the staff were super friendly and amazing - can't wait to try some more flavours 😀

So happy I have somewhere to take the kids for a treat. Gem of a place and the biggest selection of milkshakes that I have seen.

So I just popped in to Shakers for the first time and am now enjoying a delicious tofu, sweet corn and mayo sarnie, all vegan of course as is everything on the menu. Reasonably priced. They do an abundance of shakes to - hence the name lol. Decor is 50s diner so I of course left my card as they have had a couple of late nights with entertainment. I wish Alex all the luck in the world with this. xx

I've always had a slight lactose intolerance which has progressively got worse through the years! And now I've gone vegan aswell! It's so nice to enjoy an amazing milkshake, without feeling sick afterwards! Also love the Diner style decor! Great environment to enjoy a lunch and shake! �

I visited today looking for a milkshake for my son who has multiple severe allergies. He had the strawberry milkshake made with coconut milk (allergy to soya). I can't tell you how happy he & I was to have found this fabulous place where he can actually enjoy a milkshake it tasted yummy & the lady serving was fab. Can't wait to come back & have some food �

I travelled from Ipswich when I heard about this place but would have travelled much further! Amazing atmosphere with huge amounts of effort on the part of the owners (incredibly friendly and worth talking to). I had been missing good pancakes and was not disappointed, so much so I went back for a savoury option the same day. The portions may look modest but are actually very filling. The range of shakes is incredible and they are clearly going from strength to strength with lots of ideas for next steps, long may they continue!

How great to have a lovely place to go and its totally Vegan. We had the Caramel and vanilla milk shake it was yummy, they have Vegan sandwiches too. Well done. X

Honestly so happy that more and more places are starting to promote veganism/vegetarianism and coming here today (19th June) has really made my day and given me hope for a brighter cruelty free future ��� just goes to show that vegans don’t just eat grass and lentils. There are some abuse-free, healthy and tasty af non-meat foods out there. Give it a go! Lovely staff - felt very welcome �

Finally a milkshake that doesn’t make me sick and tastes like the real deal! Such a brilliant concept and very well executed. Would move back to Colchester to come here everyday!

Lovely friendly people offering great tasting shakes. We tried 4 different flavours between us and all loved the Bubblegum flavour. More food choice would be great and I guess that may come with time.
