Beautiful place! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We even had our own little adventure when a fruit beetle tried to make it's great escape! Lovely little shop. I did struggle with our buggy on the steps with pebbles but was easily solved with help from my hubby. Just annoyed that I forgot to take photos!

Very quaint and quiet little place. Great for small children.

Pleasantly surprised at how lovely this little zoo is! You're very close to the animals so feels much more intimate than the large zoos.

What a great zoo! A nice size to walk around and still have time to explore Shaldon and Ness Cove. Loads of amazing animals (some I've never seen before!) and the lady at reception was lovely. Really reasonable admission, nice little shop again very reasonable. Experience days were a bargain!
Would definitely recommend visiting here!

The kids loved it here. There was a surprising amount to see for it's size and reasonably priced too. There are no toilets inside, however there are some close by and you are able to come and go as you please.

Excellent little zoo that is part of the Worldwide breeding programme for endangered species. I have been a supporter for over 20 years and have enjoyed the growth and scope they have achieved.

On the one hand, £7.50 (adult) feels a bit too much for what is a small place. But free tickets for children are widely available (eg anyone who has used the ferry to/from Teignmouth) which cut the total for two of us. In the end, we spent 90 minutes there, close up to a variety of (small) animals, going around twice. We also saw someone who was on a 'help the keepers' experience and they were enjoying that too. So if you don't expect something the size of Paignton Zoo, you can include this in your time in Sheldon rather than making a big trip just to see this.

For a small zoo, this place is pretty cool. Just making the rounds will only take 30-45 mins, so don't plan on an entire day out here unless you're taking part in one of their activities. With regards to activities, they're definitely worth looking into. You get to accompany the zookeepers on their rounds and learn so much about the different animals, which you don't get to do so much in the larger zoos with bigger groups. All in all, a great place to pop in if you've got an hour or so to kill, or if you're planning on the day, phone ahead and get info on their activities. You won't be disappointed.

Well I wouldnt exactly call it a zoo, more of a small monkey's sanctuary. But this little place is set it such picturesque scenery and takes a fair old while to walk around,
The animals look very well after, and seemed to enjoy the sunshine. I will return to to this place the staff were friendly and the prices where just perfect
I enjoyed it and with the return anytime of the day you can nip back off and return when you want

User

Small, but it is situated in a great place that offers great views.

User

Small so not a whole day trip, but lovely and a favourite with my 18 month old granddaughter. There are no cafe facilities, but you can leave and return the same day and there are lots of cafes, picnic does and the beach nearby.

User

Loved all the monkeys. Sweet little Zoo.

A small but nice wildlife trust. Not easily accessible for prams, you can come and go which is good as you can nip round it in 20 minutes.
