About Shambles Theatre Ltd.

Shambles Theatre is a new and emerging company who aims to create bold, brass and beautiful physical theatre.

Shambles Theatre Ltd. Description

Inspired by verbatim writings and events, Shambles Theatre aims to evoke and enlighten our audience. Exploring socio-political issues through human relationships and holding a mirror up to the parts of culture we feel least comfortable addressing, we look to inspire discourse around the zeitgeist of the world we live in.

It's been a quiet year for Shambles as we develop new work, whilst both founders of the company have been jobbing actors. Before we return to our own Shambolic work, come check out Aaron Baker in Mockumentary farce comedy "Welcome to the Fringe". So far the cast are still laughing at each other. The show is a romp of all the funny and upsetting aspects of working in the fringe circuit. It's a laugh until you hurt comedy you don't want to miss this weekend in Lambeth North! Shambles had a fantastic time in Somerset. Chatting to 2nd year students at The SPACE and watching the first years first show! They all worked incredibly hard and in just 4 weeks put on a tremendous show. Should all be very proud.
Our own Aaron Baker went to the Somerset Performing Arts Centre for Eduction and had his first show in 2011! Now returned to see the next of his family tread the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre.
The college is very unique and treats the students as a co...mpany. The work produced there is sincere and always pushing the boundaries of what they’re capable of. Aaron’s very proud to be a SPACE alumni, and even prouder oh his cousin who seems to be way better than he was when he started there!
Here’s a photo of Aaron in his first show in 2011 performing a section of “The Hired Man” What a baby face!

Shambles Theatre are back after an unexpected hiatus
We wish we had better news, however the reason Shambles Theatre have been offline since last year is that we lost company member, mascot and beloved pet Peter Rabbit. We did everything we could, but he died unexpectedly in our arms late at night. He was unlike any other bunny, and we were so lucky to have him hop into our lives. Full post up in our blog soon, and we will be back with exciting news and upcoming projects soon. Thanks everyone 🐰

S L A Y ✨
Shambles Theatre present an unflinching look at what gender means to young people in 2017 though song, spoken word and a shit ton of glitter. Inspired by the vast gender spectrum and our own experiences, Lynne and Theo just want to come to the party. Please?
