Reminder: Last day of term for children today. Children to be collected at 1.30pm. Children may bring in a toy or game to play with today.

Years 3 and 4 are selling snack bars on the playground at the end of the day. £1 per bar. Please bring your money and come along and support them!

We are so incredibly proud of our Year 6 children for their excellent performances of ‘Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandit’. The children entertained us all so well with their superb singing, dynamic dancing and amazing acting! Thank you to all the parents, carers, relatives and friends that came along to enjoy the performance.

Shawley Choir were AMAZING at The Beacon tonight! What an incredible performance!

Key Stage 2 Production - Due to the clash with the football semifinals, we have decided to bring forward the start time of Wednesday’s performance to 5pm. This should allow sufficient time for everyone to enjoy the performance before dashing home in time for kick off! We do apologise if the earlier start time causes inconvenience to anyone. The Thursday evening show will remain at a start time of 6.30pm.

It’s a beautiful day, the circus is here and the Fundraisers are busy setting up ready for the Summer Fete at 12pm.

Tomorrow: Summer Fete including Circus. Please do come along and support the school. The fete starts at 12pm with the first circus show at 1pm.

Exciting times at Shawley today!

Reminder: Our final ‘Read with me’ session of the year is tomorrow (Friday 29th) at 2.30pm. We are looking forward to welcoming parents and carers to this. Please sign in on your child’s class list which will be on a table just inside the main entrance. You are then free to collect your child(ren) and enjoy time sharing books together.

Our value of the month for June is ‘Appreciation’. There are just a couple more days of June left so please do take a minute to show your appreciation to a staff member if you would like to. Thank you for all the kind comments so far. Mrs Milner is a very proud Headteacher to have a team who clearly do a great job in so many ways and who go the extra mile!

I’m delighted that our new art work is now on display on the wall outside the main office. Huge thanks to Mr Sparrow and Mrs Morina’s Dad who took the time to put this up.

In this hot weather, please do make sure your child comes to school with suncream, a hat and a water bottle. Many thanks!

Our ‘Together we Thrive’ collaborative art work. This was produced by all the children, alongside Aslan. The photo doesn’t really give you an idea of the actual size of this - it is big!!

It was lovely to meet the parents of our new entrants this evening. We are really looking forward to welcoming our new Reception children next week at their first school visit.

Vito has not stopped raving about the awesome experience, Thank you to all the teachers for helping make the trip so unforgettable, I would also like to add an extra special thanks to Miss Povey for her kind understanding & support to Vito on Monday.

Thanks for all the updates and thanks for taking care of Beth she's had a wicked time and we will so it all again once Jacob is in year six thanks again guys have a great weekend
