To the men who broke into our home on 2/8/18 - You destroyed a part of my life and turned such a beautiful day into a nightmare. Perhaps it's the way you live your lives? You only had fifteen minutes, you watched me walk my dog and knew what I looked like and when the time was right, with our neighbours moving and widows being fitted, it was busy and you blended in. You know, my home was so clean, and you violated it, by smashing my patio doors and pouring my washing up liqui...d over our carpets and belongings, you wrecked my rooms and stole my mother's engagement ring, amongst other jewellery (that's only value is it's sentiment) and cash quite a lot of it... I wonder how you'll spend my family's hard earned money, and where my jewellery, full of memories, will end up? I will think of you every day of my life. I wonder what made you do this? I don't know you, your background, or your understanding of life, but to have this as your way of life is so sad, you must always be on your guard, living on the adrenaline, just for the buzz, no freedom. If you ever found love in your lives and trusted someone, ask yourself how you would feel if someone did this to them? Just think about it. We are just another of your victims, do you count us, or just the money? You haven't just taken a piece of me, but everything you could, there is nothing left for you to come back for! Money will not be kept at home, the jewellery will not be replaced because the value was the sentiment, you can't buy a replacement even If it looked the same, the value was in the memory. My tidy home made it easy for you, you were so quick but I could feel your body heat as I entered my home, we missed you by seconds! So if you are reading this, please leave my home alone, there's nothing left to take, you've had it all, I would like my mum's ring back the one you took from its box. I will live my life not dictated to or frightened. I wonder what you are thinking now, if you or your friends read this.
