For World Poetry Day we are sharing favourite poems suggested by our counsellors.
Chloe Hill has suggested "Weeping Willow by Emma Jane Rae.
Chloe says: I absolutely love this poem and fell in love with it watching the movie "My Girl" when I was only about 10.
... It's the first time I had ever watched anything so sad, my first brush as a child with death and grief.
I just think it's a beautiful poem about the loss of a child.

At the final session of our Coping with Infertility course last week, participants shared what they have learned and we wrote down a list that could be shared with others facing this difficult path. Here are their collective ideas on what can help people cope with the stress and emotional pain of the infertility journey. https://www.sheffieldcentralcounselling.c o.uk/…/what-we-hav…

For National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, you may like to read this article (from a year ago) which questions some of the assumptions that the diet and weightloss industry make:
"Common wisdom says that obesity is associated with health risks, but the story isn't that simple. Studies on dieting rarely control for factors like fitness, activity, nutrient intake, weight cycling, or socioeconomic status. When they do? Increased risk of disease all but disappears."

As it is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are sharing this video of Freddie Flintoff and Gok Wan talking about their eating disorders. Kudos to these guys who have been willing to be open and talk about what it was like for them to have bulimia and anorexia.
