Sheffield Students' Union

The Participation Grant is a great initiative to help students take part in Students' Union activities and sports.
Criteria includes: Students in receipt of the University of Sheffield Bursary Scheme. Students in receipt of an Enhanced Bursary from the University of Sheffield.... Postgraduate students who were in receipt of a maintenance grant as an undergraduate student. Students who are facing unexpected financial difficulties. Students with a disability. Students who are parents or carers. International students who are facing additional costs because of their immigration status.
Applications are open until 5pm 12th October.

Tomorrow, it's time for the Sports Fair! Here's a throwback to two years ago, when we had the amazing Bryony Page on the concourse promoting Sport at Sheffield.

I’m Rui, a 28 years old portuguese guy who moved recently to the UK from Granada where I was a vet nurse. Now I’m a dogwalker in Sheffield

I'm really impressed with the high standards of the University of Sheffield. The library facilities are just amazing and I have a great time in some of the societies. The Union is really good as well. Strongly reccomend.

Indeed, the no. 1 Student's Union in the UK and probably one of the most organised and happy students Union in Europe. Special thanks to Ana Gabriela Popa for the tour. Made me proud to be a Romanian!

I wish to express a particular thank you to the young lady on the info desk, and gentleman coming to the rescue of a lady in distress this afternoon. I accidentally drove over a broken beer bottle whilst parking in the car park of 301 Glossop Road. The gentleman popped over with a dustpan and broom and carefully swept up the broken glass as I couldn't move my car without hitting it again. Thank you so much! You have made this disabled mature student very happy xxx
