This was our 3rd visit, and once again we were not disappointed. The young girls at front of house are friendly and chatty, nothing is too much trouble. Our order arrived piping hot and the coffee was lovely. It's a really nice place to visit either as a couple escaping the kids for a while or as a family.

This has become a regular haunt of ours, initially for coffee either when passing on the A2 or when we needed a break from the housework and other related tasks. Watching the wide range of birds and the squirrels feasting just outside the window proved a welcome bonus. However, on the last 2 visits, we have been more adventurous. About a month ago, we took a friend to Sheila's Kitchen for a light lunch and were all delighted with the scope of the menu as well as the quality of the food. Then, today we called in late morning for an all-day breakfast. We loved it and will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Thank you Sheila and your staff for the warm welcome !

Stopped here for a coffee and ended up having a fabulous meal. We both had burgers and chips. Definitely 100/100. Lovely service, lovely food

Stopped for breakfast and enjoyed the food as well as the birds on the garden, which they feed as well. Been coming here whenever around the area since it was a Little Chef. Now that Sheila owns it (she managed it as a Little Chef for 12 years before that) it is easy to see why it was such a nice place to stop off for a meal and remains so now that Sheila can put her own mark on it. Highly recommend it if your in the area.

Nicely cooked breakfast, great value for money, also supporting small local producers which is great. Watched the squirrels & birds in the garden. Friendly staff, nice little diner. See you again soon.

My partner &I had an evening meal & breakfast.

We felt that the evening meal & puddings were very tasty & great value for money. I had mixed grill with extra onion rings & my partner had a chicken dish. Both arrived piping hot & were a pleasure to eat. For our puddings we had the Fudge cake & cherry pancake. The only minor thing was the pancake cool but the filling was lovely & hot.

The next morning we had 2 Mega-Breakfasts, plus coffee (2x) & a pot of tea. Again, very tasty & very quick service.

Well done Sheila's, we hope to see you again next year after Sci Fi by the Sea.

Love this place! Stopped in for breakfast this morning and left with hummingbird cake (as well) after recommendations from two of the ladies who told me it was home-made. Oh my god! It's delicious! I need more of this hummingbird cake in my life!! :-D

It does what you want for a rest stop cafe.

Warmly greeted, clean, efficiently served, tasty unfussy food at good value prices.

It is easy to be "stuffy" about roadside cafes, but when it is done well, it is worthy of praise.

Sheila obviously cares about her cafe .. it shows.

Had a fantastic breakfast and staff are really lovely!

Thoroughly recommended.

Great little find. Very friendly people and the food was great. Great story to the place, which you can read on the back of the menu. Free refills when you have a breakfast. Worth a stop at it if you get hungry

Toilets are clean as well.

Excellent food and service. My parents go out of their way to eat here on a regular basis and I'm not surprised as its like a home from home. I've been over ten times now and I've always left very satisfied.

User

Craving a fry up this morning and Sheila’s definitely hit the spot. Will definitely return, 100% recommend if you want tasty, locally sourced comfort grub
