Dean in 2nd place went over the 60lb net limit on two nets getting knocked back cost him the match, he fished the pole and corn over hemp down the margin for carp – 8lb.

Without doubt the best fishery in the area. Beautiful surroundings and the fishing is exceptional. Very well ran and welcoming. I only pleasure fish but it's worth noting it's a very busy match venue so it's always worth checking with the site before setting off if your traveling a fair way. That said, there are 5 lakes, all packed with fish so you will always get some good sport!

Use to love fishing here a few years back and was even brilliant then, very welcoming considering at the time I was only a teenager... can't wait to return and catch up with the old man�

Thursday the 4th May with a strong cold north easterly wind.

One of the most enjoyable days fishing ever. Carp are generally up to 9lbs but today I was rewarded with a Mirror of !4.5 lbs and a common of just over 12lbs together with well over 20 more carp many of which were in the 7-9 Lb range.

I use 9lb line direct to a 14 hook and often end up taking more that one hook out of the fish as a result of people fishing too light. Thes are hard fighting fish!

I fish sherwood most times on the Sunday and Wednesday matches, I like to say what a fantastic set of lads who run the matches and venue. They make you feel very welcome and the fishing is awesome. Anyone who loves match or pleasure fishing will love the venue, I wish all the anglers and the owners a great 2018.

Had an excellent day on sherwood lake yesterday, only had 4 hours but had 80 fish, bream, skimmers, roach and Hyde with a couple of perch

First time fishing for us with the kids. Great experience and lovely and clean

A Great fishery with plenty of lakes to suit most kinds of fishing and age groups. Great place for the youngsters.

Not the warmest day to be had at the fishery but with some help from a regular fisherman and two good pegs selected we managed a good day's fishing. Ease of parking was great and pegs and lake conditions superb. Would defiantly suit those anglers who love a varied selection of fish.change ya bait/ method change ya fish. Will def return on a warmer day

Had a lovely day fishing lake was in good condition well maintained and caught some nice carp on sherwood lake so enjoyed the day 👍🏻
