Sherwood Forest Holiday Park

Great site with pitches next to a small river. Been visiting for years. Great for kids due to play parks and space to ride bikes. Reasonable prices in the camp shop for random gear - most likely due to affiliation with Torksey/Sheffield Caravans.

Ideally located for Sherwood Pines and Clumber Park.

I can't recommend this campsite enough. My two girls love playing in the river when the weather is nice. Great facilities that are always spotless and nice big pitches. We'll be back again next year

Great site! Clean and we'll kept. Would recommend. Make sure if u want peace and quiet that you gat a pitch away from the river, as everyone makes a bee line for it!
The pizza van isn't there every Friday either! 🙁

Absolutely excellent. This camp site has 2 play areas for children, wooded areas and a stream shallow enough for paddling. The pitches are immaculately maintained. Even the shop is great - obviously not supermarket prices but very reasonable for a site store. This is now our "go to" site for a break.

Was ok. The pitch we had was right next to the stream. So we had a lot of kids playing around our van all day. And the water point was next to our van so we had people walking in front of our van to get to it and doing their washing up. Just because you can get a van on a space doesn't mean you should. But it was a very nice campsite

Great site lovely location, it is a large site but as the area's are grouped it has the feel of a small friendly site. The staff are very helpful and show you to your pitch, then where the nearest facilities are to your pitch. The pitches are large and level mainly hard standing with EH and TV aerial connection. The shop is small but very well stocked as is the information point. Highly recommended.

Best little get away in a log cabin, everything you need for a relaxing little break with a hot tub! ♨

Sherwood forest holiday park is a lovely campsite. It has abundant wildlife nearby, including a couple of peacocks that like to wander around. There's always a warden on duty who is usually very helpful. There's several shower/toilet blocks that are very clean and a little on site shop that has various camping supplies and food items, toiletries and even a few little toys. The shop isn't very expensive although as expected some items are a little above what they are elsewhere in other shops.
The price per night for a tent is worth it, it's a little costlier in the summer but still a great price. The price includes your electric hook up and the hot showers.
I would definitely recommend staying hear at least once during the summer as it's a lovely place a little out of the way of the rest of the world, although in driving and potentially walking/bus distance if you so wish.

Campsite is clean, beautiful, quiet, good little shop, near to Sherwood Forest and has a gorgeous chippy not far from it. The only reason it hasn't got 5* is because we were continually harassed on our first day by a member of staff who seemed to be a complete jobsworth over the slightest thing. She made a bee line for us and ruined our first day. Aside from her, we had a lovely time.
