Dear all valued customers. Firstly, we would like to sincerely apologise to a lady regarding an incident with our yakisoba. It has brought to the management attention that we need to make this formal notification and apologies.
Please be informed that since 26th of April, 2019, our yakisoba will not be vegan as there will be egg protein present in the our substitute noodles due to out of stock on our usual noodle.
All customers are advised to confirm with our staffs any al...lergies or requirements before ordering. We will from now, have visible notice on any change in stocks. We are truly sorry for this inconveniences.
As a small business, we would very much like constructive feedbacks so that we can improve and reach new heights. However, most oftenly, we learn these the hard way. Therefore, the company would like to apologise in advance any mistakes we have made.

To all our loyal, much appreciated shijo fan and superheroes. We need your voice!
We recently received a complaint, alleging shijo reuse our iconic takeaway rice bowls. This is obviously a false allegation but this however, has ignite the bulbs in our head.
... Just for the sake of discussion, what are your thoughts about this?
For starter, this will definitely helps the environment and reduce our carbon foot print, IF we chose to wash and reuse our bowls like normal crockery you get in restaurants.
Please vote with a thumbs up for yes to reuse, thumbs down for no - do not reuse. The superhero with the most impressive comment will win 2 meals + 2 drinks of their choice.

Finally!! Shijo Northumbria university will be having a soft opening from tomorrow 25th September. From 11am till 3pm this week, we will have a freshers' week welcome promotion. Our chicken katsu curry and tofu pumpkin curry are only £3 each. Offers valid only until 28th September. Please advice our credit card machine will not be available until October. Cash only unfortunately. Why not pop in, have a try.

We are thrilled to have received so many blessings and responses from our previous post. On behalf of shijo family, we thank you!
On a separate note, we have received some complaints that our vegetable gyoza contains pieces of meat. We would like to ensure all that those pieces of 'meat' is actually wheat gluten, that has the same consistency of meat. We apologise for this confusion and therefore we are in the process of changing our vegetable gyoza. Please do come in and try our new spinach gyoza in May.
