We have been very lucky to secure a visit from Charlie Myers, British U23 pole vault record holder, on November 25th. He will be in school all morning completing the Fun Fitness Challenge. Your child should have taken home a sponsor form yesterday for the challenge. We hope to raise lots of money for fitness equipment while having fun!
This week is Anti-bullying week in England. We would like children to wear odd sock on Friday along with their Pudsey (non-uniform) clothing. We will be taking lots of lovely pictures to share on here and will be completing Anti-bullying and Children in Need activities throughout the day.

Congratulations to class 3! Your assembly on Friday was awesome! A big thank you to everyone who came. the children really enjoyed it.
Children in Need will be upon us on Friday 15th November. Children can come to school in Pudsey clothing or non-uniform. Children you will be making a coin trail around school so please bring as many spare coins as you can. https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/
Newspaper plea: Many of us don't read a newspaper anymore so we are very short for paper mache etc. If you have any old newspapers you could donate we would be eternally grateful. 😊
Aldi stickers: If you have any Aldi stickers at home can you please ensure they come to school asap. We are only 70 stickers away from completing the chart and receiving sports kit. Thank you for all who have already provided us with stickers.
Welcome back to all of you! We will be selling poppies and accessories this week to raise money for The Royal British Legion. Year 6 children will go round classes during the afternoons of this week. Poppies can also be purchased at the school office but we would prefer you allow children to get them from classes to avoid large office queues. Thanks
Year 6 parents who have yet to express a preference for secondary school can you please do so as soon as possible. Closing date for applications is 31.10.19.
Please can parents be considerate when picking up and dropping children off in cars. The Hadleigh Court Residential car park is for visitors to their establishment only and is private property. It is important to keep this clear for emergency services too. Please also respect the residents on the street adjacent to the school. They need to be able to leave their houses and not have cars blocking their drive. We ask kindly that parents park further away and walk their children to school which is not only beneficial to them but also to the environment. Thank you.
Halloween Disco: Wednesday 23rd October - 3:30 - 4:30 Reception, Year 1 & Year 2. 4:30 - 5:30 Years 3 to 6. Please purchase tickets at the office. Children will only be allowed in with a ticket.
The EYFS sponsored Bear Hunt raised a great big £1131.25. The EYFS staff are very excited about all of the equipment they can enhance their provision with. A big thank you to all parents/relatives who came and who donated. The winner of the signed Bear Hunt book and giant teddy bear was Michael Purdham. Well done Michael!
EYFS enjoyed their sponsored Bear Hunt on Tuesday. A big thank you to all the parents/relatives who came and helped to raise lots for the Early Years. You are fantastic!!
Year 1 children walked into a crime scene on Tuesday morning. They had great fun trying to work out who had committed the crime and produced some fantastic writing!
Year 5 had a visit from Ali Pasha. The children were fascinated by him.
Please remember we go live with Parent Pay on Monday 30th September. You will not be able to pay cash into school from this date. Please ensure you sign up with the personal code from your letter.
The children have had the fabulous chance to observe a tarantula skin today. Definitely a talking point among children and staff!
Thank you so much to everyone who has made a donation towards our harvest collection so far. It is greatly appreciated. All collected goods will be taken to the church on Friday 27th September so please keep sending things in.
Reminder to parents: to sign up for ParentPay as we hope to go live Monday 30th and you will be unable to make cash payments from then. Thanks
