Loving our new goslings. This was them going home to the island last night.
Plenty of room on Hawthorns and Westpool if you fancy a days fishing in the sunshine. Just turn up.
Today's costcutter match on main lake was won from peg14. Tom Thick bagged 136.11 to win the match, Dave Wride peg 2, 53.4 was second and Tom Light was third with 49.11 on peg 5. Silver's went to Nigel Wickham peg12, 21.15, Antony Thick peg 6, 22.8 and Merv Clark 14b, 13.15.

Here is the availability for the next few days... Squircle and Westpool available today. Hawthorns and Westpool available Thursday. Hawthorns, Westpool and Squircle available Friday. All lakes available Saturday except the Squircle. ... Westpool and Squircle available Sunday. Few pegs left on main lake Easter Monday and Squircle. Closed Tuesday 23rd as usual.

A friendly match on the Hawthorns on Saturday, in chilly bright conditions, was won with a massive weight from peg 3, Lewis Jones bagged 205.6 to win the match.
Shiplate Farm''s Sunday Open match on the Main Lake was won by John Dursley in peg 1, 94.3. Second was Tom Thick peg 11, 89.2, third was Mike Nicholls peg 15, 80.2 . Silvers went to Ron Stark peg 2, 19.8, Glynn Wycombe peg 5, 18.10 and Nigel Wickham Peg 9a, 18.8. Pictured John Dursley.

hi i visited ur carp lake 2day with rod poole we was fishing peg 9 wat a lovely lake u have pity bout the weather but that didnt stop me catching i had 10 runs managed 2 get 7 out plenty of space in the swims cant fault it deffo b bac again will b bringing the wife with me nex time
The venue is a great little day ticket water. If you want a fun day out on a "runs" water this is the place for you. The staff are very helpful and friendly and happy to share tips and advice to help you improve your catch rate.
The fish are well x no hook pulled lips x its good for disable x the owner is great and helpful, but don't be a idiot if you leave litter or ill treat the fish you won't be going a gain x it's well landscaped and quiet x I go regularly and have never not caught something
Stew & Ash Love Shiplate the fishing is fantastic. They have fished all the lakes but especially love Westpool . Its a beautiful well managed fishery and owners always make them feel really welcome.
Really stunning venue which has lots of species. Really like the silver fish there. Always friendly abd well maintained

Nothing bad to say about it, always my go to place when I can get on the lake, bailiffs/owners are great, real friendly and always give good tips and advice. fish are fantastic condition always hard fighting and always hungry!

Lovely owners thought the free tea n coffee and use of trolleys was a nice touch good fishing in lovely surroundings my son caught a 2lb plus perch which made his day will definitely be visiting again

Last Sunday took my 7 year old grandson fishing for the first time. Spent 4hrs in the scorching heat and he caught 46 fish. And now it's grandad job to take him fishing , if he has his way weekly. Would just like to thank Steve and Carol a lovely day

Haven't fished for years on a lake and was introduced to Shiplate for the first time last week. Immediately liked the place the owners were very friendly and welcoming. Caught my first ever carp although the heat I felt probably didn't help us. Came back this week 4 more lovely carp and a constant knock ending in almost every species I could name. I think I'm hooked. Superbly kept lake and grounds and a real pleasure to have fished there.
Great place to fish,nice owners and really well kept and litter free.

After having my sea fishing trip cancelled. I decided to go course fishing as always shiplate is my first choice! phoned and book in on main lake. Well what a day! Got there at 7:30 I had a warm welcome as always. paid my dues at office, I was soon fishing. From the start I some really good carp, All VERY hard fighting and all perfect condition. With lots of skimmers all 1-2lb. Tench 1-2lb ish. Must have hit 150lb+ of fish. Excellent swims, All kept well maintained. It's like fishing in someone garden! They do not tolerate silly/rule breaking anglers (witch is another reason I chose this fishery) and if you do, you not be asked to come back! Unlike many other lakes near bristol. If you not fished here you must.!!!!!!!.
