Shipton By Beningbrough

Shipton by Beningbrough is a village, just north of the city of York along the A19, with early years & primary Schools, multiple trade-employment areas, Petrol, Shop, multiple Café, Restaurants, Pub & a Hotel.

There are many attractions and dining facilities, including a large country pub-restaurant called the Dawnay Arms and the El Treno Greek-Italian restaurant which is coupled with the unique Sidings Hotel created from historic railway carriages. Also the village offers a Community Centre which hosts a wide variety of activities such as Dog Training, Badminton, Fitness, Brownies, Dance and Music practice, as well as parties, fundraisers and other events. The Church Of England holds regular services in Shipton. The Forest of Galtres Primary School looks after children in Shipton and surrounding villages.
