Shopmobility Basingstoke

Shopmobility Basingstoke provides fantastic facilities for those with mobility challenges and has a wide range of mobility scooters, wheelchairs and walking aids suitable for all abilities.

Shopmobility Basingstoke exists purely to help people remain mobile, active and independent. The service is available to anyone regardless of age who is having trouble getting about for whatever reason. Some customers have a long term disability, some have a sports injury, some maybe waiting for or recovering from surgery, some are having a difficult pregnancy and some are just getting on in years and finding the town centre too big to manage.
We have a wide range of equipment available to suit different sizes of people and their differing needs e. g. 3 & 4 wheeled scooters, manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and 4-wheeled walking frames. We have elevating leg rests for manual and powered wheelchairs. We have scooters taking up to 32 stone and wheelchairs taking up to 28 stone.
We are a charity but we are unable provide a free service. There is a registration fee of £6, 50 per year and a hire charge of £3. 50 each time a piece of equipment is hired (as of April 2014). Casual users can opt to pay £7. 50 per visit. Equipment is available for use at home, days out and holidays. On registration we do ask for 2 forms of identification and we will aske your height and weight so that we give you the most suitable equipment. We will also train customers before they use any equipment so that they are happy and safe using what has been allocated to them.
