Shorefield was a wonderful place, I stayed here for a weekend with two families and it was perfect. Local walks are stunning (if not a little cold this time of year) and the park does have some very good facilities, namely the access to pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi! However, it doesn't get the full 5 stars from me down to the horrendous state of the arcade. Its easy to see how children are conned out of their money here, the machines worked on a ticketing basis, but never was there anyone to exchange these with for prizes. Also, many machines were broken, or in disrepair. The grabbing machine was the worst I've ever seen, only actually closing the claws after about 5cm above the toys. This was a big disappointment, but if you don't plan to use the arcade then the rest of the park was beautiful.
We come every year and do enjoy it but would like to see more washing machines and tumble driers in the park as it is increasing in size. Food is reasonable standard. Would like to see general maintance a bit higher as the curtain poles are in need of attention. But good weekend topped by the weather.
The Standard caravan was very luxurious and comfortable inside. We had a nice quiet plot so great quality sleeps. Huge comfortable sofa and tv in lounge. Access to the pool area was included in our stay so even though it rained every day we felt like we were staying at a fancy spa resort.
Another amazing holiday, great activities and nightlife for all the family!
The food in the restaurant has massively improved from previous years but I would avoid the takeaway food in the Italian takeaway especially the so called kebabs.
Other than that you cannot really beat this place. Great entertainment staff, clean camp, lovely accommodation. We always try to stay in the Honeysuckle bungalow with the hot tub and large garden.
