Went to the location near Covent Garden for the first time - it was really great!

I'm not sure if they're short staffed or what, but there was one server, one hostess and one bartender while we were there and they got absolutely slammed. They handled everything really well though and hopefully we can experience it on a quieter night soon. If the managers read this, reward your staff who was working Wednesday night (27 of September)!

User

We visited the Covent Garden branch to have a meal with our family , booking our table on line was easy, the service was excellent . It was our first time eating Japanese food and the girl who was looking after our table was excellent in her work , she explained the dishes to us and we had an excellent meal and evening , forgot to ask the server her name but would like to thank you for looking after us . Keep it up guys , will surely have a meal with you'll when back in London

We usually travel into London to get a decent Ramen but for a change visited your Oxford restaurant today. It's the first time we have experienced your take on Ramen and imho this is the best I've tasted so far. My girlfriend who's birthday it was has spent a lot of time in Japan and says it's the best Ramen she's had since her return 4 years ago. We mentioned in passing that we had come there from out of town as it was a birthday and couldn't believe it when after the main nearly every member of staff came out singing happy birthday and presented us with an assortment of free puddings which was the perfect end to a great day.

Fabtastic food, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic staff !

Visited the Manchester restaurant for the first time when husband took me for lunch. What a great place with really friendly staff. The manager told us of the special offers available which saved us a nice bit of money, he was also kind enough to bring me some freshly squeezed lime & sugar syrup to go in my soda since they didn't have cordial, it tasted way better than cordial too! Definitely will return next time im in Manchester

User

The Ramen noodles are delicious. The people who work there are so kind and friendly. It’s a very pleasant place to eat Ramen Noodles. We were at Shoryu Ramen at the Regent street in London. #Thankyou guys for the delicious food. #gratitude.

User

Really tasty food, fast service and the staff very happy and obviously enjoying working together. Their ramen is to die for and it had the atmosphere of a busy Japanese restaurant. Recommend!

User

Firstly the food was amazing! Everything was so so delicious and you could tell that real effort went into the choice of ingredients and presentation of each dish. And secondly the customer service was really brilliant, we were being served at one point by a lovely man named Nelson and he told us a really great story about how he got his name (as mine and my sisters surname is Nelson). We also got served at some points by a woman called Sophie who really interacted with the customers (e.g showing how to use chopsticks or just making really genuine conversation). Overall it really made a difference and made our experience in the resteraunt really fun! Thanks so much

User

Beautiful bowl of Ramen noodles - so fresh & tasty with a glass of Pinot Gris !!!

User

Absolutely brilliant. The service was quick and friendly, and the ramen was incredible. For anyone looking for authentic ramen I'd highly recommend this one. We were in and out in about 40 minutes, yet never felt rushed. Great food and great service, definitely want to go back!

User

Having got back from Tokyo 2 days before visiting, I wondered how authentic the ramen would be. Well don Shoryu Ramen it was bang on the money, really tasty warm hug in a bowl ! I can’t wait to go back and have some more and try some of the different dishes on your menu.

The staff were helpful and prompt and there was a bubbly atmosphere making the experience complete.

I would say the drinks are a little pricey but we are in London so probably to be expected

Thanks guys can’t wait to see you again

When we came in the Piccadilly Circus branch, we received a friendly welcome and immediately liked the atmosphere. However when the ramen was served, it wasn't served warm enough. I think a great factor deciding the taste of the broth is how warm it served, but when we took a sip it was already at room temperature. I believe that was the biggest letdown of our lunch there, especially since the runny egg that we added to it as an extra topping could not cook and mix in the cold broth. It was quite a let down since we paid way too much money for two cold ramen soups.

User

Visited the oxford store and one thing I've noticed is that the waiters/servers are the one that does the garnishing (putting seaweed) on the ramen...which I think is unhygienic since they handle money and other stuff...I think it would.be better if the kitchen staff/chefs do the garnishing instead. You should be conscious about food handling since you've got an open kitchen and patrons can see how you prepare our food.

We went to the Gudetama pop Friday 30th and we was there for opening time of 11:30am as advertised but wasn’t allowed in till 12noon and it’s was raining today, surprised they didn’t offer us to come inside from the rain as they was meant to be open. Then our order was taken wrong and rather then just go ok and give me the correct bun they had a little bit of a tiff between staff members about it which was stupid to do as everything can be seen and heard by the customers and to top it off there was no gudetama faces on the food, when I asked the staff member didn’t seem to care and I was met with we’ve ran out.......Don’t get me wrong the food was nice but what’s the point of a character pop up if the character isn’t even on the food?? Also having it in your smallest restaurant maybe wasn’t the best idea. I’ve tried to contact Shoryu on various SM platforms but it seems their attitude towards the situation is they just don’t care as I’ve yet to be acknowledged or even receive a response.

User

Myself and my partner were really excited for the Gudetama pop up at the Shoryu Go in Soho. We queued in the rain for a long time. Someone coming out told us that there was no Gudetama merch and that the entire thing was a waste of money. There were no signs stating that this was the case - so wanting to give it a chance and giving them the benefit of the doubt, we went in anyway and eventually, around 45 minutes in despite it not being busy, we were able to place our order.

The only thing Gudetama was the flag on top of the bun and this did make me feel a bit miffed that we went out of our way just for this. You do not get the cute Gudetama themed food or bowls as shown in the pictures which is false advertising. The service was slow and other than one nice server who apologised to us and actually acknowledged us, I wouldn’t recommend Shoryu. The ramen was unfortunately bland and flavourless, and although the outside was decorated well for the event it did not live up to expectation. I wish we had gone somewhere else

User

We went to the gudetama pop up at Shoryu Go today and weren’t told until after we ordered that none of the merchandise was available - so the only part of the meal that was even themed was a small flag in the top of the bun! The server was also incredibly rude when we queried it, and service was very slow.

I used to enjoy going to shoryu, but this has just put a bit of bitter taste in my mouth over going again.

You have over a week left to go on your “gudetama pop up” but don’t have any of the merchandise at all? It’s a poor attempt at a collaboration.

User

Very very very poor poor service.

Order a drink costs GBP 6.50 . but comes up only a full glass of ice and a tiny bit of strawberries. No taste no flavor at all. I complained but they said their standard of drink is full glass of ice and pour 1/5 of juice in. How ridiculous!!!!!

Poor poor service especially the waitress with red t-shirt name Lucia... at Denman St. Soho London. No apology, no compliments, impolite, bad service.

I am a regular customer, but their service getting worst and worst.

Its not worth to pay service charge and return.

NOT BOTTOMLESS

10mins to order, 20 minutes for plates to clear - told we couldn't order our second bowl of ramen as we only had 5 minutes left. Time limit starts from booking time, not the time your order is taken.

We visited London specifically to go to Shoryu and try the bottomless ramen brunch (we booked online as suggested). On arrival we were given the incorrect menus, then waited a further 10 minutes for service - eating away at hour 1.5 hour time limit. Starters and sides came out randomly, but were cleared in a timely manner. After the arrival of our mains we were ignored. I can only assume that this was so we could not take advantage of the main offer - "bottomless". We waited 20 minutes after the last member of our party finished their main before a staff member appeared. We asked for a re-fill of our ramen (remember - bottomless) and were informed that as we only had 5 minutes left of the time limit, that we couldn't do so. If this had been advertised as a set menu, then fair game, but it was not. To add insult to injury, when paying we were slapped with a £14.25 service charge for 3 people. Very dissappointed.

I and my friends went out for a dinner at Covent Garden branch, we usually go to Soho, but it was too busy.

As we entered the waitress run outside to call the other girl for us to be seated, but this was okay.

When we were placing an order I asked our waitress if my Poke Bowl comes with any sort of dressing, she asked me to repeat my question 4 times, when my friend finally stepped in and said "Sauce, you know?", the waitress said no. First, we had some takoyaki as a starter and asked for some plates and pots for soy sauce, the waitress brought us plates, but forgot the pots. I asked to bring us some wasabi as well when she was going to get them, guess what? Yes, she forgot.

Our main dishes have arrived while placing them on the table the waitress spilled the water over our table and just put some paper on the top, without saying sorry or offering to wipe the table.

When we started to enjoy our dishes, I noticed that my Poke does have some sort of dressing, but I didn't bother to call the waitress again, as she was way too unprofessional.

Food was great as always, but this girl just left unpleasant feeling after the visit. This type of work is just horrible, sorry but don't think this branch is worth a visit.

Being an Asian, I think this restaurant caters for non-Asian customers' taste. Noodle is overcooked, gyoza is soggy. Besides of that, waiters constanly mix up with our desserts (4 times). I would say the Regent store really needs to be re-organized in a big way. However, the manager tried to solved the issue, it was too late.
