Shottisham Camp Site At St Margaret'S House

What a fantastic place. Very laid back and friendly atmosphere. The small holding is delightful, and its lovely to sample the produce. Looking forward to doing cooked breakfast with the bacon and sausages and eggs we brought from them.

Such a fantastic camp site! We came across it by chance checking some maps and we couldn't be happier about our discovery. The location is stunning, right in the middle of the beautiful Suffolk countryside, and the way the place has been designed makes you feel like you are camping in the middle of the woods rather than in an artificial resort. The couple that run it is also lovely, we got there after a day of cycling, and even they were full, they still made space for us. They also have a smallholding with a lot of animals, including alpacas ( how cool is that) that apparently protect the chicken from the foxes. We can´t wait to go back and stay a bit longer this time so that we can explore a bit more!

Great campsite for the family, free range chickens and goats in a paddock to feed. Could do with a few more showers but apart from that a really pleasant campsite with amazing surroundings and an adventure play area for the kids.

Really enjoyed our time using the lovely 'glamping' facilities. Very nice campsite and helpful service. Try it!

Excellent campsite, had a really good time here this weekend with my brothers and son.
No phone signal or wi fi so a real getaway from it all; despite this the site has fantastic amenities with fire pits available to rent and really clean toilet and shower facilities.
The owners were tremendously helpful too and eager to answer all the questions I had.

I loved watching the sheepdogs and waking up surrounded by the animals.

Highly highly recommended!

Fantastic down to earth campsite run by a lovely couple. They sell eggs and local meat and subsidise the campsite with their small holding. The pub down the road is owned and run cooperatively by the village and is a must visit.

Lovely campsite with some farm animals, has an adventure play ground for kids. They allow fire pits which can be rented or you can take your own. A friendly ginger cat too! A very short walk to the pub, what's no to like.
