So here’s the catch 22: to get seen for film /TV you need a showreel but to get a showreel you need to have worked in film /TV and for the new actor, this proves to be a problem.
Even if you have done a bit of filming here and there, the probability is that you don’t have enough good footage to make, what we call, a ‘serious contender’s showreel’.
