Help members of our local community wildlife groups to survey the rich grasslands on the east side of the Stiperstones - Open to anyone interested in plants, whether you're a complete beginner, an experienced botanist, or somewhere inbetween. "I’ve never had so much fun in the rain! Scything and learning about, exploring and conserving an important historic feature (medieval stock enclosure) on the Long Mynd is a great way to brighten up any damp and grey day. As I was scything my way through the bracken on Novers Hill, I could clearly see the many benefits of this valuable work and the issues it addresses – e.g. opening up and protecting an ancient monument, providing grazing for the commoners livestock, enhancing the landscape, controlling an invasive plant, improving biodiversity, etc."
